Interesting, possible psvr2 on xbox???

THC CELL2007d ago

That be a great idea psvr is by far the best one to go in long term comfort

Tracking issue need sort of a overhaul
Cam need a update
Also field of view

SkatterBrain2006d ago

mine had to be on for 20-30 minutes so it wouldnt fog up on me

Xavi4K2006d ago

have you tried Occulus Rift S? its waaay better than PS VR in terms of resolution and head tracking.

fr0sty2006d ago

More likely, possible PS UI on whatever VR device XBox ends up with, if it ends up with one.

RememberThe3572006d ago

That'd be a bit of a game changer. MS not working on VR because they'll just use Sony's, while Sony's not working on cloud because they'll just use MSs.

swifty12006d ago

Hmmmmmmm, big companies working together, looking at the bigger picture...

King_Noctis2006d ago (Edited 2006d ago )

And in the future Gamepass or even xCloud might appear on the Switch. I want to see companies working with eachother like this, not trying to kill eachother like most fanboys do.

Jon615862006d ago

Or you mean Sony using Wondoes OS and Microst using Sony Audio Devices? Companies working together is nothing new. Except maybe Nintendo

Zeref2006d ago (Edited 2006d ago )

That would be great. One VR system for consoles would push VR mainstream and better for developers since the architectures will be so similar as well.

Araragifeels 2006d ago

It wouldn't be a bad idea for PSVR to become multiplatform.

Silly gameAr2006d ago (Edited 2006d ago )

I actually think that would be kind of cool. Why would it be a bad idea?

gangsta_red2006d ago

He said it wouldn't be a bad idea.

ocelot072006d ago

PSVR actually works on PC right now. It's just the move controllers that are a pain to get running. I have said in the past Sony should consider releasing offical drivers for PSVR on PC. It gives people options. Plus more people would buy into it. As you would only need the 1 VR headset if you are a PS4 and PC player.

Silly gameAr2006d ago

@Araragifeels

I misread your comment. I apologize.

King Nezz2006d ago

It would be smart. If PSVR is on more platforms, there will be more of an incentive from 3rd parties to develop VR titles.

King_Noctis2006d ago

Sony would be smart to go third party with VR. They could attract lot of customers and devs with this move.

1Victor2006d ago

It would be a very good idea to make psvr multi platform but would the green guys actually buy it? Will they commit mass suicide from all the Sony fans saying “it took Sony to bring VR to Xbox because they couldn’t afford it”

ApocalypseShadow2006d ago (Edited 2006d ago )

Looks more like a patent to standardize motion gestures across devices since no one else has applied for it as far as we know. Sort of like sign language. Once you learn it, you can talk to any hearing impaired individual. If you can use one device with motion and gestures, you can use all of them.

It would be smart to do instead of multiple hand gestures requiring to relearn each one for everything. See the future. It's coming.

kneon2006d ago

A patent isn't really the way to go if they are trying to standardize controls, unless they are going to launch a standards effort with some industry group and then assign the patent over to this new group.

battlegrog2006d ago

Since sony and xbox are heavily working together and MS is providing a much better world wide cloud infrastructure for sony.I could see this being something sony is doing to give its part back if its true.

jivah2006d ago

Or maybe since Sony has by far outsold the other headsets. Maybe they want to keep controlling marketshare by opening it up. At the end of the day money is money.

Dark SNES Games Not Made For Kids

As consoles go, the SNES has quite the family friendly image. But, just like a Pizza Hut when you look at its hygiene rating or taste its pizza or breathe inside a restaurant, it’s not always good for everyone.

The golden age. No ESRB*. No ratings at all. It was glorious.

*I know the ESRB was formed by the industry to prevent others from stepping in and taking control.

Darkegg6h ago

Interesting on ESRB. “ The industry, pressured with potential government oversight of video game ratings from these hearings, established both the IDSA and the ESRB within it to create a voluntary rating system based on the Motion Picture Association film rating system with additional considerations for video game interactivity.” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/...

Is that how the industry isn’t required to offer consumers a transferable digital token to sell games they no longer play or maybe don’t like? And then treat us all like pirates? That’s how the government is not involved, they had to placate the situation to avoid oversight.

I appreciate the article but this guy must be living in a delayed universe, The reputation was ruined 10+ years ago and hasn't recovered since. As such people have voted with their wallets and stopped buying Xbox products in large amounts.

YourMommySpoils18h ago

Their reputation was lost way before that. From the moment Microsoft said they entering the console business, we all knew it would be a downgrade.

Bathyj4h ago(Edited 4h ago)

That's not true at all the OG Xbox had drive and they had hunger and they wanted to accomplish something. It was a great console.

they didn't quite reach their goals and they gave up prematurely because they couldn't win. It was halfway through the Xbox 360 when kinect released and that was when they lost their way and we're a rudderless ship ever since

Agent752h ago

In all fairness, Xbox had some great games with online play, Xbox 360 even better. Xbox consoles started to die with the Xbox One. Ditch consoles for the PC and PS.

What reputation is this threatening exactly? 😂

Lightning771d 20h ago

Rumors of Turn 10 being either shut down or hit with massive lay offs is on the horizon.

The issue is MS will do something right only to do something very, very wrong. And they do this what seems calculative at this point. Doesn't matter what they do the Investors and leadership want more and more money an endless bottomless pit of purr insatiable greed. A company that acts like it's broke or hurting is what really, really infuriates me. They've surpassed apple again well over 3 trillion who acts like they're a million dollar company is fk stupid. Pivots and changes for no reason and can't do things for more than a year with out a pivot or changing their metrics.

Christopher22h ago

That would be really bad since Phil just hyped up next year as a big Forza year at Summer Game Fest.

1Victor22h ago

@christopher: “ That would be really bad since Phil just hyped up next year as a big Forza year at Summer Game Fest”
The key word big can be ether good or bad 🤷🏿only time can tell

DarXyde20h ago

First Forza being generated entirely via AI?

If any company would do it, it'd be them.

Nacho_Z10h ago

Isn't the point that it's irrelevant how profitable MS is, the suits have decided it's time that the Xbox division started making them money. Hence the layoffs, the pivots.

hennessey865h ago

That wouldn't surprise me, as motorsport has been heading down hill since the great number 4. Where as playground have consistently put out better games. I think the two studios will be merged under playground games banner.
