The PlayStation Brahs:
“ Developer Yippee Entertainment and Publisher Kalypso Media show us if we should make the jump with Ski Jumping Pro VR for the PlayStation VR.”
Heather writes: "Can I recommend Ski Jumping Pro VR? Maybe not to the average VR player — the ones who have dropped hundreds of dollars on a peripheral — who want to experience something truly immersive. Instead, this is for the player who wants to find something for the entire family to casually enjoy in-between rounds of Beat Saber or who has played literally everything else available and just wants something new. Either way, get it on sale — or get it on mobile — as this one had me wishing I was sipping cocoa in the cabin instead of hitting the slopes."
WTMG's Todd Eggleston: "Ski Jumping Pro VR would have been a great addition to a demo disk or part of a larger game, but as a stand alone title, it fails to stick its landing."
I absolutely love the PS4 VR! I have yet to actually do much gaming on it yet. Just lots of demos of games for it. I was watching 360 YouTube videos yesterday. There was a roller coaster, that made me feel like I was on it. There are a ton of coasters, but one in particular really was over the top awesome.
I think the PS5 visor will be better, but this is impressive!
PP: Ski Jumping Pro VR doesn't take the piste in its approach in this ski jumping simulator as the experience is present, as is the presentation. It just feels more of a demo on what the PSVR can serve as the gameplay is a bit shortlived.
Just makes me think a fully fledged downhill skiing/snowboarding game could be a lot of fun in VR.
