The Outer Worlds Has A Game Breaking Glitch

Unlike Bethesda, The Outer Worlds is almost bug-free. That is until a bug that stops the game dead in its tracks. Here is how to get around it.

Did both endings several times using different outcomes at each check point. I experienced zero bugs.

Richy74H2005d ago (Edited 2005d ago )

Good for you. A lot of people on the Obsidian Forums did. I hope they patch it soon!

Sm00thNinja2004d ago

Game is extremely overrated I cant bring myself to finish it. It just feels so extremely last gen. I guess compared to recent fallout offerings its great

BioShockGX2004d ago

That what happens when you try to copy a game that already looks like a ps2 game.

AirRevenant2004d ago

That just seems purposefully and unnecessarily hyperbolic. We must be running the game on two different qualities of potato.

King_Noctis2003d ago

Well at least this game has actually gameplay in it.

Cueil2003d ago

Elder Scrolls hasn't looked like a ps2 game since the second game

SyntheticForm2004d ago

It's got a really old school flavor and people like that. That, combined with a the fact that it's simply a full game free of monetization at all is a laudable thing in today's industry.

It's a good game, but I think it could have been better. I think they played it pretty safe with this one, but it's worth playing if you like this style and form of RPG.

Sm00thNinja2004d ago

@Synthetic I can respect this answer! I think what I hate most of all about this game is the armor choices. Please tell me it's not just me whose sick of seeing the same armor colored differently with ugly space helmets. All of the perks seem virtually useless. Maybe I'll jump back in for the achievements.

MadLad2004d ago

It's a game that offers a lot of player agency, and let's my specific character react to the world based on the their specific qualities.
It has a solid story and characters.
That's what I want out of an RPG. It literally hits the marks of what a good western rpg should strive to be.
If that's "last gen" to you, that's on you.

And it's not really that much like New Vegas. Outside of being in first person, and sharing some design mechanics .... not that it's any where near a bad thing to be a new New Vegas, it really feels more like what they did with Kotor 2.

My opinion? Best rpg of the year. Opinions.

King_Noctis2003d ago

Overrated? Then it is good that the game got 85% score on Metacritic, which is not too low or too high than what the game deserves.

KillBill2003d ago (Edited 2003d ago )

I read this and immediately thought... 'I bet this guy likes Death Stranding'. And of course a quick check... "Sea of Thieves and NMS ARE ABSOLUTELY NOT WORSE AND I LOVE DEATH STRANDING THUS FAR, MAYBE AT LAUNCH BOTH GAMES HAVE EVOLVED TREMENDOUSLY stop spotting outdated nonsense".

"It's almost overwhelming how strange the world of Death Stranding is, it really is a strange genre of game. It feels like at this point I'm just playing a movie, BUT right now I'm on the side of saying this game is a unique amazing experience that's definitely an acquired taste type of game."

Can't make this crap up.

Sm00thNinja2003d ago

Yeah I also said Death Stranding got boring and I cant finish it what's your point?

You still have yet to counter the statement Outer Fallout.. oops I mean Outer Vegas sh** Outer Worlds is a unique and defining experience. It's new Vegas with a different coat of paint. But it's easier for you to dig DEEP into my comments about death stranding that I said over a week ago and attack my comments than defend your own beliefs.

At least synthetic brought up a good argument that it's meant for fans of that old style gameplay which I can get on board with. Clearly one poster is more intelligent than the other

KillBill2002d ago

@Sm00thNinja - didn't need to dig at all. simply went to approximately the time frame of release of game and looked. Got it on first click. Wasn't hard at all.

CaptainHenry9162003d ago (Edited 2003d ago )

I agree it is overrated and a copy and paste Fallout

MadLad2002d ago

... from the guys who actually created Fallout. Such a weird concept them making something similar to what they thought was a good idea.

Was so excited for this game untill i played it .

MadLad2004d ago

What made you dislike it? It's one of the few rpgs of memory where the things it handled ranged from great to at least serviceable.

King_Noctis2003d ago

I don’t think he could provide a coherent answer for that.

2ndhandcorn2003d ago

Just felt detached when i played it thinking oh great time to fetch but i also never liked Bioshock or Fallout for the same reason , Mass Effect grabbed me in the fist few minutes am happy it did well though i have a love hate with open world games i find them a bit tedious traveling and managing loot.

WhiteHawk2004d ago

Good timing on this article considering that bug was fixed in a patch a week ago.

Or it could just be the same as outer worlds 1. No changes just direct sequel.

Both are going to underperform.
