Also, Samurai Showdown is being added alongside Destiny 2 as a game available for free on the platform.
The fact 4k 60fps and hdr pc play back isnt available until next year, not available on all android device. Those two things are death blows to this idea. PC people and mobile users are who would have gotten this to begin. Good job google you hamstringed your new platform from the jump
They want to sell you both Stadia and their Pixel phone at the same time. This is not how gaming works. They have a very easy template to follow if they want to be succeed, yet they choose to walk this path.
Everyone knows what they want to do thats why they did it and no one will be using this abortion. Its the same thing Sony did with remote play.
I find it kind of weird that Stadia doesn't have any holiday games. Where is Control? Where is COD? Where is Jedi Fallen Order and Breakpoint? I mean if you are going to launch a new platform in the holiday, wouldn't you have holiday games?
Why wouldn't they wait until having this 10 games to publish their launch list? Feels strange that they released their launch list, get criticized and next day they add 10 more.
My understanding is they rushed a release to compete against xCloud. Don't quote me though, but it's obvious they're trying to be first to the market.
Most likely BECAUSE they got criticized. They probably planned to release a constant stream of games to make things look good. I'm curious when they planned to release these games prior. And also now how long it will be before they announce a new batch of games.
Who cares. You can play pretty much all of those on other platforms right now. Locally rendered.
Absolutely hate Google as a company, so I'm hoping their console will fail. I know I'll never see the day, but I hope one day that shithole of a company goes completely under. Fuck Google
MS - Project X-Cloud * drops mic like Sony announcing a cheaper price point and physical media at the past e3s 😂
We dont even know a whole lot about xcloud, and I feel it's probably going to better. All stadia does is make it so it doesn't just run console or pc versions of a game, but that can also limit its appeal to publishers, since making a game for stadia requires much of the same resources that a port to any other system would.
Agreed. However, what has been said after the xbox conference last week, things are looking good and Xbox will bounce back after what I personally feel was a misstep by MS games division. Stadia had promise but is just trash. Phil Harrison I feel sucks also.
I think MS will be better for the long haul, but this gen I feel differently, but I don't care to discuss that. Stadia did show promise, because I felt that Google could be a strong player, and some of the things they said weren't really untrue or bad on principal. There is some benefit to having a flexible operating environment for devs to code to, but since they are making it an exclusive platform, it does require resources, and they really haven't gotten their API's up to snuff for the development community IMO. On the consumer side of things, it's just all bad. You gotta buy hardware to play it. You have to pay a lot for the games. YOu have to pay a premium to get the best quality streams. Stadia seems directionless and doesn't even seem to have a clear vision other than they want to be in the game streaming business. So on and so forth.
So they added more 60$ old games.
Sorry not allowed to have any positive news about Stadia on here ... you'll upset the Playstation fanboys!
What a stupid comment.
You seem more upset about positive and negative news than most of the people commenting. Most people just seem to have their original opinions validated.
And nobody cares.
