Yeah i was excited until it was shown to be a vr game. That sucks. I mean i've tried vr but throwing around 2-300 on a vr headset isn't worth it for me. It's cool for short bursts but nothing I'm trading in my tv for.

i didn't say the game was bad only that i can't bring myself to spend the money on a vr headset and that i prefer tv. Insomniac is one of my favorite developers of course i was excited.

You don't need to trade your TV in for it. VR is not supposed to replace traditional gaming, both can coexist. I for one love VR, couch gaming and PC gaming and this game looks excellent.

I was just pointing out that the VR games are way more impressive when viewed in VR. Otherwise they can go unnoticed because people think they look like the trailer. (I wasnt attacking you, if it came off that way)

Yes!!! This is the VR games we need and want! I'm telling you, VR is a game changer and we need devs to keep pushing it forward so we get things on an even more traditional game level. If I could I would play every FPS in VR.

I think this VR stuff from Insomniac was a big reason they wanted to acquire Insomniac. Even though this isn't on PSVR right now, it's these kinds of games which will push VR adoption towards the mainstream. Looks fantastic, and makes me wish I had a PC that could handle VR. Sadly, I can't justify spending that much money for a new PC and headset for this, and maybe a few other VR games that interest me. My current PC is a bit underpowered, but still serves my main purpose for it without trouble.

So IGN podcast interview with Colin Moriarty claiming another Ratchet and clank will come to PS4 before PS5 2020 release, instead we get Stormland. so much for honesty. we are now in November one more month to go end of 2019 no ratchet and clank yet.

Insomniac is a pretty big developer, so it's still possible. It's possible he was in the know given the access he had to write his book about Insomniac.

I dunno if they are working on it, but I believe their VR games are made by Insomniac East, which is a second studio they own, which was acquired by Sony with the purchase of Insomniac. This game wouldn't affect the production of any game within their main studio, and their main studio is big enough to make 2, if not 3 games, concurrently.

It didn't get much attention around here sadly. PCVR tends to go unnoticed. I think it's going to be one of those defining VR games which really helps push the idea of VR forward. There aren't many games which can be said to be system sellers, despite lots of quality content to choose from. It'll take more games of this caliber to really sell VR to the masses.

Fair enough. I frequent the Oculus Quest subreddit, and it can be jarring to be on here and see the "lol VR is a total fail" crowd whenever VR gets brought up.

Yeah. I keep up with VR in general, so I hear about a lot of these games. Kind of sucks some of them aren't coming to PSVR, but PSVR gets it's own games too, and I wouldn't mind if my PCVR brethren got a chance to experience those cool games.

It's really jarring the difference that VR owners have, compared to those that don't have a headset. Most can just go on their merry way, but some really like to just dismiss a game if it's on VR. I know it sucks if you want to play a cool game, but it is what it is.

To be fair though, I think many of us have the same reaction to seeing that "coming to mobile" at the end of some trailers. Sometimes, those do burn.

Some of these comments are baffling here.

How many times have we seen people say stuff like "VR needs games". Then they see a new video or preview of a game and get excited. After that, once they find out the game is VR all of a sudden their so called excitement dies down.

My point here is you can't complain about the format needing games, then when they get some be mad that they're in VR.

In my opinion, this just tells me you simply want VR to fail regardless of how good and/or bad the games are.

I'm only upset it's not on PSVR. But that's because I can't justify spending the money for a new PC rig and PCVR headset. I'm not even really upset, and think the game looks fantastic. Guess you can call me a port beggar. I think Occulus funded this game though, so not sure it'll even come to PSVR2.
