An argument for Google Stadia

Google Stadia is a cloud operating service operated by Google. This will effectively allow users to play streamed games to their devices. According to Google, this service will allow gamers to stream games to their devices. regardless of the devices hardware capabilities. This means, effectively, you will be able to play a game up to 4K resolution on any device which supports the Google Stadia application.

An argument for Google Stadia: In the future the technology will be cheaper and perform better.
Remember how people would prefer Blu-Ray to streaming because of the internet speed, that wasn't so long ago.

Sounds like this guy is a casual if he doesn't think the PSP's vast library was any good (and refuses to acknowledge that PSP games were the closest one could get to AAA handheld gaming at the time). I don't take casuals seriously, especially when they try to argue that I should check out something I don't want. Also, he only acknowledges a couple of the Stadia's shortcomings and barely at that. That and who really wants to support the direction this will lead the industry in the off chance it is successful? I look forward to this thing flopping.

Dude this guy is arguing FOR stadia of course he knows nothing about gaming but then again so do 97% of game journalists

Tross2064d ago

That is sadly true. The general quality of game "journalism" wouldn't pass in any other industry but apparently it does in this one.

AK912064d ago

@Tross I actually disagree with you on this one, look at journalists in Movie, TV, Books, Music, Sports etc most of them are idiots who know nothing about the field they're covering and only use their job as an excuse to force their own (imaginary) social issues.

Sony Faces Class Action in the Netherlands Over Allegedly Inflated PlayStation Store Prices

Mass Damage & Consumer Foundation in the Netherlands has filed a class action against Sony for inflating PlayStation Store prices.

dveio1d ago (Edited 1d ago )

My personal opinion:

Manufacturers and publishers have indeed inflated the industry.

From $700 million development costs for games like Call of Duty, to digital (store) prices for games and DLCs, online multiplayer fees on consoles (why can you play Helldivers 2 online for free on PC but not consoles?) or still preventing sell/lend digitally purchased games.

Sometime in the future, this bubble will collapse.

They should know better, but they just can't help themselves and suck even the last penny out of our wallets.

BeHunted22h ago

Because Sony knows people will be forced to pay those prices for single player and multiplayer games, not everyone prefers PC gaming. Sony also has a monopoly on PlayStation digital games. In 2019, they stopped allowing retailers and game key sellers to sell PlayStation digital games, making them available only through the official PlayStation Store

anast1d ago

The Dutch gov. wants a piece of the pie.

Eonjay23h ago

They should be suing the individual publishers increasing the prices to $80 instead of suing the store. There are plenty of publishers still selling game for like $50 with much success (like E33). But this proves that the publishers are the ones setting the prices.... so again nothing changes because they aren't even going after the main offender. How is suing Sony going to make Microsoft not charge $80 for the next COD? Sony being the number one store in the market doesn't mean that publisher have to charge us an arm and a leg. Again the industry is laughing at us because consumers never get real representation. Just these fake platitudes that are meaningless.

"How is suing Sony going to make Microsoft not charge $80 for the next COD"

Because Microsoft doesn't have a monopoly, I can purchase Call of Duty at a huge discount from CDKeys or other gaming retailers. The only way to purchase digital PlayStation games is through the PlayStation Store.

Weird, I swore GoW, Stellar Blade, Horizon Zero Dawn, TLoU, etc. were on the steam store....uh.....

BeHunted17h ago(Edited 17h ago)

@djI3485

I'm talking about PlayStation games that you can only purchase on PlayStation. I can purchase Steam and Epic games from 3rd party retailers and key stores.

About time. There is zero fair reason why digitally distributed products that you cannot recoup any value when you want to dispose of them, should be priced higher than that of physical copies that entail all of the costs and the benefits of owning.

Cancelled Batman Game Featuring Damian Wayne Character Designs Surface

"Project Sabbath" was a cancelled Batman game by WB Games Montreal where Damien Wayne was set to take on the mantle of the Bat.

Terry_B3d ago

Its time Damian ...and his mother too & how his son came to be will be a big part in a background story of a Batman movie, series or game.

-Foxtrot2d ago

I'd have rather seen Terry than Damian especially to see what they could have done with Terry in the Arkhamverse

excaliburps1d 6h ago

No, WB doesn't want anything fun since suits want live service garbage for max revenue. LOL!

Shame. If we are getting any Batman games like these, it'll be years away.

LordStig19h ago

YES! make an Arkham game with Terry as Batman and call it Batman Beyond Arkham.

Green-Smurf1d 2h ago

Damian doesn't follow his dad's code. He kills

Babadook71d 2h ago

Not to be confused with Damon Wayans.

jznrpg1d 1h ago

I’m not a big superhero fan but I do enjoy the Batman and SpiderMan games. Too bad this one got cancelled. WB has been mostly shite live service.
