Rob Pitt writes: When I was younger I had a guilty pleasure, that pleasure was the 1970’s poorly dubbed TV show simply known as ‘Monkey’. This was a loose adaptation of ‘Journey to the West’, a 16th-century Chinese novel about four unlikely beings who set out on a pilgrimage, two of which are quite literally not of this world.

Monkey King: Hero is Back isn’t a direct retelling of this story, unlike other games such as Unruly Heroes, it’s a new adaptation with a new story and setting, similar to how Ninja Theory did their amazing ‘Enslaved’.
