Ishan discusses extensively the idea behind RCT's game design and how it excels as a simulation game using extremely simple but restrictive methods.

Marcel Vos once built a roller coaster in Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 that took 232 days to complete. In real time. Now he’s made one that takes 18 times as long
Got to give him kudos for dedication is what you need, plus he goes into so much detail about the mechanics of brake blocks etc. Wow.
Even though RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 was released over 15 years ago (feel old now?), it hasn’t stopped a dedicated fan base from continuing to play the game in new and unique ways. Take YouTuber Marcel Vos, for example. After creating both working calculators and slot machines through the game, he decided to create a track that would give him the highest intensity rating possible.
This was one of the greatest games of all time and I wish Chris Sawyer still made games like it today.
