R-e-a-l-l-y? Wow. Didn't know gaming bolt.

But seriously, we definitely need good A.I. or just interesting A.I. where NPC's have certain routines in a created world, but can bend and do things we wouldn't expect. And don't necessarily play like a human opponent.

Like an RPG. Companion characters jump in to help you fight an enemy, switches their own weapons or magic with what they think is best, change their own clothes or ask you for items they might need. Have their own skill trees to improve fighting abilities but it's different every time you play. They may pick a different skill than last time. Suggest alternate paths to a destination, randomly say they need to leave to go buy something at the shop or see their wives or kids and tell you they will meet up with you later. And while you heading out of the town to a mission, they call out your name down the trail and say "wait up." Or, " you weren't going to go kill that dragon alone were you?" "Your wife would kill me if I didn't save your hide like I always do." Which leads to small back and forth banter about things or laughing. Basically, beyond Skyrim type design.

Enemies regroup, may even run away leaving the missing open. Or stalk you by hiding amongst the trees or fly overhead(like the same dragon) until they see you're at your weakest if you didn't heal and they attack. Or their relative is chasing you for vengeance which gives you choices of wether killing them or not by taking it out.

This besides aging of characters, buildings and environment foliage. More interaction with objects, more areas like buildings to walk in and out of. And damage to environments that aren't game breaking but stay until trees grow back or buildings rebuilt.

Don't care for bigger world's. I care for better, denser worlds for next gen.

Agreed. We really need a major overhaul in AI design, which has been stagnant for a long time. Think about how game changing it would be to have teams of enemies working well together to fight you, not just following scripted and predetermined routes. Forcing you as a gamer to out think the opponents rather than recognising their set patterns. Playing against AI that actually feels human in their intelligence will be a huge thing for the industry.

ApocalypseShadow2060d ago

Basically that. You have to out think them like chess. And your comrades are thinking better for themselves. Give them a basic program in what they could do in a given situation. And they decide what to do.

Muzikguy2061d ago

I don't want bigger worlds either. I mean it would be nice but having that space filled with almost nothing isn't good. AI does need that overhaul. I thought companies were mentioning that other times yet we haven't seen it yet.

ApocalypseShadow2060d ago

Yeah. I hate all that space and nothing is in it. And what's in it, you can't even interact with it.

Breaking news, the ps5 is a Sony console, it can also play games better than the ps4 which is also a Sony console.

yoshatabi2060d ago

How is this possible? This is truly groundbreaking

Déjà pu: The feeling I've heard this shit before

sprinterboy2061d ago

Not sure on your disagree buddy but I agree. When I played F. E. A. R for the 1st time which was approx 20 years ago I was like wow the AI is awesome only to fast fwd to 2019 and my favourute AI game of all time is still F. E. A. R.
That alone is a sad and a joke tbh that we've stayed relatively stagnet in that area.

madpuppy2060d ago (Edited 2060d ago )

That's how I felt playing half life for the first time when the soldiers would attack and duck behind cover, run from grenades and flank you, It blew my mind...and your right, no one really did too much more beyond that.

I'm sure you forgot in the past 2-3 days since the last article.

I love this controller. Feels so nice in the hand. Plus the battery lasts for days, it's crazy.

Very good dev length for a AAA/AA game I'd say. Companies need to set an aim for this range. 1-2 is too little, I believe 3-4 is perfect. Any more is too much. Games don't need to be these gigantic games full of a crazy amount of content. Just make a good game.

Lol. Had no idea who that was, but I will admit they do look quite similar.

Greatness knows greatness. Simple as that. Expedition 33 is a masterpiece, built with a smaller team and with a smaller budget, blowing ubisoft out of the water. It doesn't matter how many devs you have and how much money you throw at it, great studios like Sandfall Interactive will always overcome you.

mastershredder1h ago(Edited 59m ago)

Ideal are you opinions being vacant from any discussion that is not about your own cringy universe Hideo.

The master of Vanity Tech Demos is here to tell us what a good game is. ooooh kay. It's pretty dang obvious without your 2 cents desperately needing relevance. This is just like his GTA grovel a while back. Yuck.
