We’ve had a few games which fit this description, the most recent notable examples I can think of are The Invisible Hours, The Shapeshifting Detective and The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker.
However, Return of the Obra Dinn is by far the biggest and most intense murder mystery I’ve ever witnessed!

Always Sometimes Monster is made by two people technically, but let’s do an honorable mention.
Technically speaking Minecraft should have been on the list. But it's nice to see these single devs thrive.
Theyr is no game made by one man. Theyr is always a team of developers behind them.
However there is always someone who comes up with the idea of a game.
When i would give an example of one man with that idea for me its Hideo Kojima....

glad the colonels bequest was mentioned in the article, has to be one of my fav games ever.....didnt enjoy amon ra as much - but interesting they are rebooting laura bow in a new adventure, hopefully they can recapture the magic of the first game!
