I agree with you, as I've been playing a lot of Smackdown! 2 on my Vita, having a good time.
However, I read that the WWE forces 2K games to make the WWE games as realistic as possible, so in this one specific sense, 2K has no choice.
Unless if its a separate game mode, such as how Sony's MLB series has its own separate arcade style game mode which fans enjoy a lot.
If WWE allows it (I have no idea), then yes, put it in the game, but WWE may believe that an arcade style game design goes against what they want, which means its a no go. :(
It also means more work for Visual Concepts, and clearly they can't handle their current workload as it is.

YUKES on the other hand are the kings of fast-paced arcade wrestling games, and they confirmed to be working on a new wrestling game... one can hope it harkens back to better days.

This is why I would rather have a wrestling game release like with a 3 or more years gap rather than releasing one every year. Seems like the game is just getting worse and broken every year.

I think the wrestling games should be split up between more developers on different years. Like what Call of Duty does. That what give more time to work on the game because if one is working on 2k21 and the other working on 2k22. (Granted 2k21 may have a year cycle at first) Then that is a two year cycle to make the game better and the two developers would be in competition in making a better product each year.
I think 2k20 is a great wake up call to 2k in telling them to take the wrestling games seriously and make them better.

Seriously i honestly don't understand how they managed to make wrestlers faces drastically worse than the year before, This is nothing but sabotage.

Gaming has gone down hill so much!. If it's not the half assed games it's the silver edition, gold edition, epic edition, collecters edition, deluxe edition, super deluxe edition, pre-order edition and then 95% of games have some sort of micro-transactions.

Gaming used to be my favorite hobby.....
