I dont think this is EA, but i agree with the statement still. This is published by 2K

SkatterBrain2069d ago

maybe he got confused cause of the yearly Madden, Tiger Woods, Fifa Games

william_cade2069d ago

I apologize every one I wasn't paying attention. It's 2K. I am writing a business analysis that concerns EA. EA was on my mind. It happens.

Dandizzle2069d ago

Not sure if your just ignorant but the name of the game is WWE 2K20. Maybe give you a clue that 2k owns the studio and publishes the game. Try and form a thought before you barf out a generic comment.

eots2069d ago

Tad harsh considering the article you are commenting on and pulling someone up in states (incorrectly) that it is an EA game. If your source is incorrect that doesn’t make you ignorant or that you didn’t form a thought.

What makes you ignorant is generally being abusive to people over a simple mistake that was started by actually reading and learning from the source that is being discussed.

I can pay more attention next time, but you can't change the fact that you are a shit person all of the time.

Yea, I don’t think that’s why they use the 2K in the year, but I see why you would assume it....

I agree on don't buy EA games but this game is 2K unless you count UFC games EA hasn't done a wrestling game since the N64 PS1 days WCW Backstage Assault and WCW Mayhem.

King_Noctis2069d ago

Take Two is dangerously approaching the EA, Activision, and Ubisoft’s level of sh*t, and at this point I’d say they’re already there.

doritos2069d ago

The dogpile over his mistake is embarrassing.

Yet it will sell millions just like nba 2k series. Gaming industry is at one of its worst times and greed

thatguyhayat2069d ago

I dont think the wwe games have ever sold that much. But seriously its a broken game.

neutralgamer19922069d ago

Man these yearly titles are charging full price now on top of that they are releasing unfinished games with micro transactions

Sgt_Slaughter2069d ago (Edited 2069d ago )

These are the last few games in terms of first week sales:

WWE 2K15 - 577,195
WWE 2K16 - 531,926
WWE 2K17 - 447,001
WWE 2K18 - 396,640
WWE 2K14 - 394,822
WWE 2K19 - 364,738

WWE 2K15 sold over 3,000,000 units specifically and it's probably stayed about that amount for subsequent games.

It's like Ive been saying for a while, sports game fans are the worst. They are the demographic that gaming companies most shamelessly explout for monetization and nickel-and-diming, yetbthey keep buying the games year after year. And that blatant abuse emboldens developers to try to spread those monetization models to other genres. I blame sports gamers more than anyone for how out of control companies like EA and 2K are.

KeenBean3452069d ago

AEW is run by gamers so no doubt they'd make a great, arcade'y style wrestling game

neutralgamer19922068d ago

Rumor has it yukes left 2k to work on AEW game

gamer78042069d ago (Edited 2069d ago )

They need a new developer and a new wrestling system, I miss the old wwe wrestling games where they were accessible and fun to play with friends. I do like that they have a mycareer mode for women finally

Soy2069d ago

That's part of the problem - they dumped Yukes midway through the cycle and didn't have time to completely redo the game.

Holy shit that article image is nightmare fuel

5 Games That Started Out As A Buggy Mess

KeenGamer: "Sometimes a game starts out as a buggy mess and we all just stop and think, “that definitely could have spent a bit more time in the oven”. This is the case for these 5 games which infamously marked their place in recent game memory."

Personally I wanted a 2d fighter, considering AEW been doing promotions with Capcom i thought we'd see a 2D fighter featuring AEW Wrestlers and Street Fighter, whether it's classic side scroller or vs. I'm fed up typical wrestling games, I'd like to see something different. The pro to all this is that they have the original director from No Mercy. Just have to wait and see but I'm not getting my hopes up. At least we have AEW, cos damn WWE sucks atm

BLAKHOODe1680d ago (Edited 1680d ago )

I feel like you shouldn't. The game is super early in development and will be using next-now-current gen hardware with fresh insight on today's product. Shut up and give the game a chance.

WheatBread1680d ago

I want AKI to make a new wrestling game.

8bitRey1680d ago

I'm optimistic for the AEW game. Kenny Omega is a legit gamer, he played a lot of Street Fighter while he was busy putting on classic matches in New Japan. He was training/sparring in Street Fighter with some of the best players in the world - like Infiltration and Poongko for example - during his time off!

Thankfully I got Fire Pro Wrestling World to keep me going for years to come.
