How to Play Witcher 3 at 60fps on Nintendo Switch

You can play Witcher 3 at 60fps on your Nintendo Switch. The game is capped at 720p/30fps, but with a simple hardware tweak you can play witcher 3 at 60fps.

Should be included as a option. The game looks poor (imo) on the switch anyway. So I rather play it at 60FPS with slightly poor graphics than 30 with slightly better but still poor graphics.

Everything below 30fps is a joke. 60fps FTW!

Being a PC gamer, I'd love to see Red dead redemption 2 on PC @ 60fps.

Teflon022055d ago

While, yes It's hard to play 30fps now since I've started playing PC as my main gaming option. 30fps is okay. Just noticeable. Games like Horizon, GoW, CTR all have great animation that kinda makes the 30fps not to noticeable. So it definitely depends on the game. Witcher on consoles is fine. Even on switch. But it's just not a great option as it's kinda obvious it should be played on PC. But RDR2 is fine. Will be nice in 60fps but I just want the RP mods to come lol

bluefox7552055d ago

Same. I'd be okay with it looking like a last gen game with a frame rate boost.

KeenBean3452055d ago

Fully agreed. I feel this hidden menu should have been public since launch.

m2stech2055d ago

doesn't matter, nintendo players eyes can't see above 20fps and 480p

You need to hack the switch. And you can even make the game look much more clear and less blurry. CDPR should give us the options to but I doubt it since even the ps4 and xb1 dont have the options.

Razmiran2055d ago

The switch becomes lava tho

KeenBean3452055d ago

In handheld yeah but this is fairly stable in docked, and really clears up the blurriness

Sirk7x2054d ago

Overclocking. The Switch's chip is severely underclocked by default in both handheld and docked modes, due to battery and heating concerns. You can bring it up to its factory speeds without having to worry about damaging the hardware though, just gonna shorten the battery's life.

A switch 2 update might be a nice way to celebrate it for people who brought the switch 1 version

4Scarrs_Gaming16d ago

This is exactly what I was thinking too.

gigoran815d ago (Edited 15d ago )

It will be for a price. unfortunately not like the PS5 where a majority of them were free.

anast16d ago

Cool, can we get a controller sensitivity option for the PS5? Geralt going full sprint when I barely touch the controller is keeping me from playing this game a 3rd time.

I would have included the Uncharted games as well. Good list though.

Yui_Suzumiya42d ago

Island would be #1 but that would be anything from Frontwing.

Haha it is not lost on me that two of the games in the top four were already novels before they were games

The Witcher 3 PC Optimized Settings: Next Gen Update & Ray Tracing Performance

Even 9 years after its release, The Witcher 3 remains one of the finest RPGs ever. Its detailed world and ingenious quest design have yet to be surpassed by another in the genre. Actually just picked this up yesterday on Steam, since it's $9.99 for the game and all the DLC. I've owned it for years on Playstation, but honestly never put a whole lot of time into it. Though I knew I had to play through it one day because I loved what I did play. It runs so buttery smooth on PC. Still a really beautiful game with everything maxed out settings-wise at 4K.

Damn man that’s a long ass wait for a game you were feeling good about. I beat it the first time over 9 years ago
