"Bubble Bobble, the quintessentially 80s bubble-busting platformer, found most of its fame thanks to an excellent NES adaptation. But did you know that the game originally got its start as an arcade cabinet in 1986? It’s true, and it looks this version of the game will be included with Bubble Bobble 4 Friends, a new sequel that’s currently in development for the Switch."

My focus on other games kept me from ever really having an interest in it, but it was always very interesting to gaze at. Bubble Bobble has transcended video game history and has 21 games and spin-offs. It’s probably one of the longest-running series in video games. To keep that energy going, Taito released Bubble Bobble 4 Friends in 2019 for the Nintendo Switch and today on the PlayStation 4.
"TAITO and ININ games are today very pleased and proud to announce that “Bubble Bobble 4 Friends: The Baron is Back!” is coming to the West for the PS4 on November 17th, 2020." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
