Square Enix has delivered the best JRPG of the decade with Dragon Quest XI S.
Cyberpunk 2077 may be the standout release of December 2020 but there's still plenty of other good games on the horizon too!
Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition is a port of the Nintendo Switch version that was reportedly downgraded, however, it still looks great on the PS4 Pro.
Why even downgrade this game? It's not that it's a graphic heavy game from the start ?_?
Its actually a fairly significant downgrade. The harder polygon edges, baked lighting and harder edges with minor but noticeable weaker AA is enough for me to say I'll stick with the original.
XBox:
As we’re sure many of you saw during Xbox Games Showcase, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition is releasing for Xbox One family on December 4. What’s more, it’s coming to Xbox Game Pass Console and PC on the same day.
That is some great news. This game looks gorgeous, but I could never really get into a Dragon Quest title.
But as it's going to be on Game Pass I might as well as try it.
Remaster of a remaster of the og game xD
Good that Xbox gets the game even if I thought it was bland.
They should release the content of this rerelease on PS4 & PC
It is not. Is Persona 5. Clear as water.
I raise you The Legend of Heroes series: Trails of Cold Steel 1-4 and both of the Ao no Kiseki and Zero no kiseki.
Falcom is really perfecting the old school formula.
i seriously don't get the love for this game tbh
Nah, Nier Automata. The jrpg that succeeded with taking some of the biggest set of risks any game this gen made. That coupled with very fluid and fun combat and one of the best stories this gen or any gen has seen.
