Just do a chargeback, then report them to the FTC for credit fraud.

And this will effect your credit rating. Flag you against any mortgage requests, loans etc...

If they’re in the wrong they’ll have to sort it. They may drag their heels along the way and it’s a douche thing to do. But don’t go creating problems for yourself in the future because of them.

Claiming a false charge isn't going to affect your credit rating. It may not be effective, because the company can maybe show that the charge wasn't fraudulent. However, I'd imagine any cancellation would have come with a confirmation, so if people have that, then they can use that to prove they shouldn't have to pay if Ubi does dispute the charge back.

It's a misconception that just saying a charge is fraudulent means you don't have to pay it. I've had charge backs on me when I accepted credit cards, and I was always able to get the money back because I always had proof that they were valid charges. Never had anyone try and prove me wrong after I disputed them.

It is possible if you do a lot of charge backs you could end up being charged with fraud yourself. At that point, it could potentially go onto your credit report....assuming you don't go to jail. Would take more than a couple a year.

It might be cheaper to simply pay the fine. Fighting said fine could cost millions due to court and lawyer fees. Fortnite generates well over a 100 million in each month, so Epic has plenty of cash.

But if they did pay it, then they are basically admitting that they did something they weren’t supposed to be doing. If they fight it, they may win and continue to have a sense of urgency for their micro transactions thus making more money long term.

I'd fight back too. These are kinda meaningless reasons to fine someone like really for THAT. It's like they just wanted to make money or something.

Yeaaa... no. It's cool to say that you got it running as a bragging right, but this is completely unusable. I like how he hits the screen while trying to type! X'D

Too bad for the best fps there is atm...

The market for games like this is too over saturated to make a dent in other established games' player counts. Trying to start all over with a whole new multiplayer meta and grinding to get better is not feasible when there's already a ton of similar games that have come out before it.
