Call of Duty Mobile ‘no longer supports controllers,’ Activision confirms

Controller support for Call of Duty: Mobile has been removed via an update and is no longer supported, according to Activision's customer support team.

You can easily play this on pc with a controller or mouse. Look it up on YouTube. Tons of people doing it.

I didn't even know it had controller support. I played the game and didn't see anything about controllers. The game seemed alright from a gameplay standpoint, but I couldn't get over the touch controls.

My first game online was Nuketown & for 70% of the game I just stayed behind the vehicle In the middle, those touchscreen buttons can eat ass.
It's mighty Interesting to have support & then remove it at launch, I would only play this game on emulation or controller support, I guess they don't want people to roflstomp people playing? :S

tl;dr: controller would be awful compared to touch and motion and would also be unbalanced, also DONT LISTEN to people about the micro transactions. They clearly havent played it. this game is insanely good for its microtransactions since there's barely anything other than the battle pass.

honestly i could kick anybody that's using a controller's butt with the touch screen and motion controls. Just as accurate as a mouse if you're good.

loving this game man, you just gotta practice those controls a bit but its REALLY fun once you get the hang of it. Micro transactions are all completely cosmetic as well. The only non-cosmetic thing you can use real money for are the weapon XP cards which i have literally hundreds of just from playing the game - and it only takes like 20 to fully level up your weapon - and you really only need 2 favorite weapons. Takes a few matches but you'll have your guns fully upgraded just from playing a bit

Yes people are just making assumptions and bashing it for being mobile.

The truth is the game is so reasonable that an investment bank downgraded Activision stock prices because the mobile game was an 'unsustainable model'.

Get outa here with that nonsense. I'm a long-time 2007 COD4 and 2016 MWR player and I uninstalled this garbage game over the horrible touch controls.

And on top of that, the people playing this game have 0 sense of teamwork or tactics and just run out in the open and try to hit each other with the awful controls.

It's sad.

This makes no sense now that iOS 13 natively supports the widely available XBOX One and PS4 controllers. It’s easier than ever for them to provide access to decent controllers for anyone that wants to use them, and Android has always been very flexible with game controllers... Ironically I would have tried this game if I had known about controller support earlier, but I just found out it did right as they’re removing it.

Erm, wasn't this coming to PC soon? If so, won't that mean people on PC can use controllers and M+K? Or are those players not playing the mobile players?

That's what I thought. I wonder if they'll strip that function out of that too? Although, how would you then play the game? Seems silly - all they had to do was add a toggle so you only played against controller people if you wanted too.
