Will The Elder Scrolls VI Have Online Elements?

Chris Mawson writes: "It’s pretty certain at this point that the next Elder Scrolls game will be landing on the next-gen consoles. In many ways, this is a good thing because it allows for an almost unlimited set of possibilities when it comes to TES VI, one of which includes a huge, robust, and possibly even compelling, online element."

It better not

No multiplayer

No co-op

They can't do it, they can't even do a single player open world game without bugs and glitches on an old engine they should have been able to conquer by now why the hell would people want 100 or so new problems on top. It makes little sense and i really think people don't think about it logically.

They'd waste their time on fixing co-op bugs and most likely will focus on online post launch DLC instead of single player expansions. Seriously no thanks, if they do this especially after Fallout 76 then they haven't learnt a thing.

Personally, I would be fine with two player co-op. I don't want anything more than that. No battle royale. No MMO-lite elements. All I've wanted is to explore these worlds with a friend.

Thing is co op is not an easy thing to add, you’d need to revamp the entire way this game works

It’s not worth it

Thank God The Elder Scrolls Online already exist otherwise TES VI would be turned into that! However, just because The Elder Scrolls VI is a single player game it doesn't mean it will remain completely single.

For the mobile game Blades Bethesda's have gone on record to say they want to allow PvP battles and possibly dungeon crawling together with friends. There's a few years to go until the big game so they can test out features in this but I definitely think Bethesda want The Elder Scrolls VI to have some multiplayer elements.

Nacho_Z2087d ago

Don't think so, they seem to be keeping the single player games as such and releasing online only games alongside them. With mixed results.

DVAcme2087d ago

It'd better fucking not. I'd like to think that Bethesda learned SOMETHING out of the whole Fallout 76 debacle.

They already have ESO which is doing really well, there really is no need for multiplayer. That said, if there was an option for a friend to jump into your game session and control a companion, now that could be interesting.

It will come out in another 1000-2000 days or so. I’d rather they remake Morrowind. After they added quest arrows, sprint button, making stats lesser and the big nerfs to spells Elder Scrolls has been too simplified. They could change that with ES6 but I don’t have much faith in modern Bethesda. I would love to be wrong

I was here to say pretty much the same thing, the article wouldn't even be worth clicking on, no one knows anything yet

I was expecting someone to say “we know it will be ass.” I admire the restraint so far.
