How The Sims has spearheaded queer representation in gaming

Electronic Arts has recently revealed a new partnership with the It Gets Better Project to include LGBTQ+ Pride items in The Sims 4. And, with the help of more queer-affirming media like The Sims, it truly does get better.

Sims includes items for people. Got it.
If equality is what is being asked for, then what shouldn't be happening is isolating any sort of demographic, then making a big deal of their inclusion.

Unfortunately in order to run them properly on modern windows you have to tinker with ini files and mod em. Should've been a remaster, these games are much better than SIMS 4.

Yes. Been downhill since. And Sims 3 is stll better than 4 even after all these years.

These games deserve a remaster tbh, and a console release. I already had em installed on my Deck but I as I've said before, OG SIMS on the Switch would be a match made in heaven.

There was a co-op version of Sims 2 that was a blast on GameCube.

The console games are an experience like no other. Very experimental.
