Gears 5 Review | NoobFeed

From NoobFeed: "Gears of War 4 introduced a new enemy and didn't attempt to stray from the established formula of the original games. Gears 5 takes a lot more risks, shifting the focus of the narrative, introducing side missions, and new gameplay mechanics by building on previous systems. Much of these new changes work in the game's benefit, providing a refreshing take on the franchise. It's unfortunate that a glitch exists that can cause halt progression in the campaign and the multiplayer, while loyal to the Gears formula, has experience boosting options. Along with the promising campaign ending with an awful cliffhanger, Gears 5 takes a lot of steps in the right direction to provide a refreshing experience from this acclaimed series but stumbles way too many times along the way. So it's a glitch that lead to this score. But once it's fixed will the score change...I don't think so. If the game has some glitches then what does a 7.5 even mean. It should be a straight 1-3 out of 10 if that's the case.
Personally I think a separate performance score needs to be put at the end because Gears 5 is far from a 7.5 game.

You make it sound that the glitch is a minor thing. This isn't a character walking through a solid object, this was a literal bug where the only resolution, and this stated by The Coalition on their official Twitter account, is to restart the entire game. And everything that happened from that glitched moment to the last checkpoint is gone. It's a good game and I highlighted that but for a AAA developed and published game a major issue like that is unacceptable. Just because something can be fixed later doesn't mean it's acceptable.

And lastly, it wasn't only the glitch that caused the score to lower. The ending of the campaign was simply bad. And I'm not alone on this. A lot of people, I included, loved the new campaign and the direction it took until the ending. It's a great example of how not to create a cliffhanger.
