With the newest update, No Man’s Sky surpasses even its own far-reaching ambitions.
Find out where fan favourites such as Death Stranding, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Resident Evil 2, Kingdom Hearts III, No Man's Sky Beyond and more placed in our awards
It's a tough choice when it comes down to Sekiro and Resi 2 but I think my game of the year goes to Death Stranding. I just adore it!
Studio though Capcom takes the crown. They've been listening to their fans and giving us exactly what we've been asking for. Resi 2, Announced Resi 3, DMC5 returned to form and finally an updated and home console Monster hunter with phenomenal support behind it.
The last of Us 2 was my most anticipated but Resi 3 might even be more so now
Some games get better over time. Other games get worse. From For Honor to No Man's Sky, here are some games that deserve updates to their launch review scores.
Sea of thieves perhaps most of all has undergone such a fantastic evolution. No Mans Sky is an easy 9+ for me now as well
No game deserves a second review, it would give studios an excuse to release a half baked game. The likes of No Man's Sky and Sea of Thieves deserve their poor reviews for releasing the game in a state that wasn't good enough.
Literally every game. No game is the Same a month after release let alone a year or 2. Yet another reason why reviews are irrelevant and outdated.
Nothing deserves a second review. I understand there is deadlines and whatnot but if a game releases barebones or in a poor state then delay it if not then it gets the scores it deserves. Now thats not saying some that were shit at launch arent shit now but nothing should get a second review. U review the shit when it comes out
I'm all for second chances when it comes to people but not when it comes to video games. Devs are already lazy enough as it is, if you introduce second chance reviews they'll definitely take advantage.
Hello Games have really turned this game around. Props for not giving up.
its amazing to see this game evolve, but they really shouldn't have lied to their fans before launch. Should have been honest with everything.
good on Sean and his team. I firmly believe this game can continue to grow and improve into a masterpiece if a few of my grievances can get addressed
I picked this one up on sale at the start of summer and have been pleasantly surprised by the number of updates, big and small, to the game. I'm glad I waited to get it because from what I saw of the game at launch I would've been disappointed in the title. By waiting, I avoided all of that and my first impression of the game was a positive one. Anyway, good on them for not giving up and supporting the game all this time. They really turned it around. Like others have said, it's too bad they weren't fully honest when the game first came out about what it really was, but at least they didn't just drop it like a stinky diaper like so many other devs would have.
