PEGI Defends NBA 2K20 Rating Amid Casino-Like Trailer Surfaces

The PEGI organization has sent out a letter defending the NBA 2K20 casino features in its latest trailer and explains its rating.

“PEGI’s explanation is that while the trailer might feature casino-like elements, it doesn’t necessarily teach people how to gamble or encourage people to gamble, which would then necessitate a gambling descriptor.”

Jesus fking christ, PEGI. A freaking slot machine is in the freaking game, a game about BASKETBALL I might add. How does that not teach people to gamble? Or encourage people with gambling problems to participate?

Is anyone really all that surprised that PEGI would come out with a statement like this?
Let's not forget peeps, the people on the Boards of both PEGI and the ESRB, also happen to be the either the head honchos of most of the top tier game devs or at the very least, very good friends with each other with the end goal of getting as much money out of consumers as possible.
That's why they had the balls to put out such an obvious casino trailer.

It teaches kids how to use slot machines and what it's like to gamble. Menaing, A kid that has never seen a slot machine, will know what one is after playing 2k 2020. Nice.

If a player loses to some whale over and over again it will encourage players to use the slot machine and gamble in hopes of being competitive.
