Insomniac Sends A Message To Fans Following Sony Acquisition

Insomniac Games has sent a message to fans following the announcement that Sony Interactive Entertainment has purchased the developer.

Sony managed since the PS1 decades ago to provide developers an open place to developed their games more freely than any other Game Company, not only Insomniac was pushed by Sony to be huge and successful developers and being known of their work, but Playstation pushed also other developers to success like Capcom, SquareEnix,Rockstar Games, Konami, Polyphony, Namco, Santa Monica, Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Eidos, Quantum Dream, Media Molecule just to name few, heck! even EA, Ubisoft lol, all these developers are also part of the Playstation Family if you didn't know, Sony help them create new IPs and make famous other IP's, and so we all should be grateful Playstation exists. :)

Seriously I dare you to tell me other game company besides Sony Entertainment that has make so many game companies to be multi million successful game companies, hehe I think we should be thankful of Nintendo too for not teaming up with Sony decades ago, that day the game industry savior was born like it or not.

How did Disney treat Stan Lee like shit? He had a cameo in every single one of their Marvel movies and then had a Marvel opening dedicated just to him at the beginning of Captain Marvel.

You might not be aware of it, but his daughter was at the center of all the abuse Stan was facing with shortly after his wife’s passing and just before his own. His daughter was abusing him, and introduced the man who further abuses him all for money.

C'mon dude, even if you think Disney WAS being unreasonable, you can't believe they actually treated Stan like crap.

They paid the man heavy tribute in both life and in death, allowed him to cameo in whatever way he wanted in the movies, had him at all the premieres he could attend so long as his health allowed it, Marvel Comics have been reprinting Stan's Soapbox segments in their comics since he passed.

And given his daughter only really ever got in touch with him to take his money and is culpable in the abuse of her father in his final months, I don't exactly believe her.

Everyone values their Independence...at least until the right number is written on check that its. Case in point - Bungie leaving MS then "partnering" with the Devil incarnate Activision, Ninja games was particularly vocal about their Independence then sold to MS and of course Insomniac now. To be fair to Insomniac though they were synonymous with PlayStation it just took them a while to realise it was their natural home and get aboard, of course a big fat check paved the way, as with everything.

from what ted price has said in the past. It seems Sony attempted multiple times and I believe even before they bought Naughty Dogg or even the same time. But they decilined, after the Universal issue they wanted to stay independent. With all that they've tried since the multiplat attempt. I think they realize, staying with Sony helps them express how they like while getting support and being successful

Sony changed gaming forever with the first PlayStation and they've cultivated a good culture around it ever since. They've always delivered good hardware, good service and most importantly good games. Insomniac is lucky to be part of the family and Sony in turn is lucky to have insomniac.

You could say the relationship is symbiotic.

You really need to play it squire, one you get the controls down the feeling of being a badass superhero is incredible. The thing that surprised me most, was how great the storytelling was, it was such a compelling game.

I couldn't be happier with Sony picking up such an awesome developer, it reinforces Sony's determination and commitment to supporting and growing the industry through investing in high quality studios. I dont see how MS can possibly compete with Playstation in respect of exclusive games, Sony literally have the biggest and best studios on their books.

I just finished the game with my son and it had ahold of my feels big time. Didn’t expect that.

Really fun game and when you start using the gadgets and moves with combos and dodged you can move around and whoop ass like you would expect to see Spidey do. Really awesome.

The web swinging really feels like that’s how it’s supposed to be done too. Amazing.

The set up for a sequel had my attention big time too with a couple of great bad guys apparently coming up and a little help for Spider-Man himself. Just great

Next gen will be Nintendo's chance to gain ground as neither Xbox nor Sony nor Stadia will do as well as this gen or last.

Neither Xbox acquisitions nor this move by Sony excite me. I've played Stadia and it will grow slowly it will not be a huge contender next gen.

Ps5 will be pro 2. Scarlett will be one X.2. Stadia will generate only moderate interest.

If Nintendo play it straight (ie go back to the hard-core) for the next 5 years they'll be number one.

Well Insomniac has already proven that they can make a great Spiderman game that sells a ton of copies. It would be foolish to give the game to somebody who won't do as good a job as Insomniac did.
