Space Harrier is one of those classic Sega games. The name is recognizable by anyone who has seen it in the 34 years since it made its arcade debut. Whether it is in an arcade, on a console or perhaps even in a Yakuza 0 virtual arcade, this early Yu Suzuki title has a sense of presence. There are plenty of reasons to remember it. Now, with the Nintendo Switch Sega Ages Space Harrier release, there is a refined version of the original game that takes optimized elements from past releases and a few optional gimmicks that provide a new way to look at the game, regardless of how good you may be at it.

I adore Crazy Taxi (began playing it back in the 90s) and especially the Vegas-style city in Crazy Taxi 3. Just found Michael Andronico's article Sega Genesis Mini Hands-on Review: This Beats Nintendo and Sony on https://essays.agency/homew...
The latest Sega Ages titles are officially out now exclusively on Nintendo Switch: Space Harrier and Puyo Puyo.
TGG says: "Is Space Harrier on the Switch worth your time? Well it really depends on what you want out of it. It’s a competent rail shooter for sure but it’s not without issues. That said, if you enjoyed this back in the day and struggled with beating it then many of the new options included in this SEGA AGES release should make it possible for you to finish it now."
Why does this keep happening, and why are we reviewing decades old games? Every time SEGA re-releases this game, and others in the same fashion, the review scores get lower and lower, completely taking away from how awesome the game used to be.......
