I don't even understand what are the technical difficulties that makes these features not to be standard. I wouldn't even understand why they are the lack of those things are so present. I still can't see why games won't let me re-map the controllers. How is this even a thing?

they post a ps4 controller in the article because of the lack of re-map?? but on the ps4 you can remap all the buttons in the ps4 menue settings no?, soooo there you go
but yeah its also more convenient if they would let you save that remapping to specific games or profiles
that would be nice

spicelicka1724d ago

You can do that on PS4, Xbox, and PC, but the point is convenience. You would have save a mapped profile for each game and load it from the settings every time, whereas having the option in-game means you load the game and go.

Pokemon not having multiple save files gave me a mini mind explosion, and definitely agree on button mapping options.

Yessssss....especially the switch needing the larger text option because of handheld mode. And with the lite version coming out....ooh boy. Its always great to have as much options and accessibilities as possible.

From the article:

"I know JRPG purists are going to hate on me for dissing save points but if Persona 5 had autosaved every time I finished a fight, I would have finished that game way more quickly. Heck I would probably be more willing to play more JRPG’s if I didn’t have to stress out about losing progress due to surprise three-part boss fights."

Maybe you should not play JRPG's or those that require you to save at specific points. I thought games are supposed to be challenging and (shock horror) fun. Maybe you should just get better and maybe, just maybe you can reach the lofty heights of "git gud" status.

Pennywise1381724d ago

Anyone who uses the term “git gud” loses all credibility no matter what the argument is. It’s cringey, unoriginal and just dumb. The words get and good are two of the easiest to spell.
Also video games are “supposed to be” whatever people want them to be. That’s why there’s so many different kinds. Your video game grand standing comes across as you just sniffing your own farts.

Played and enjoyed Far Cry, Far Cry 3 and 4 campaigns .

-Foxtrot43d ago

4 wasn’t so bad

Pagan Min was pretty entertaining

Skuletor43d ago

Yeah, 4 was good, was hard choosing which Golden Dawn member to side with, when they were both pieces of sh!t.
I've beaten all the main entries except 2 and 6, ended up uninstalling 6 to download something else instead.

Profchaos43d ago

I'd love a far cry pack with the original PC game (not the half assed port on ps360) instincts, predator even a port of far cry 2 to modern consoles back when these games had their own identity and weren't far cry 3 cut and pastel

Demetrius43d ago

Still one of my most favorite franchises along with assassins creed

banger8843d ago (Edited 43d ago )

Same here, I don't know why these games get so much hate. I've thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them, with only a couple of exceptions. I wish they'd hurry up and announce Far Cry 7. The only thing I'm concerned about is the rumoured time limit.

Ocarina of Time changed my life forever, such a masterpiece

Zeldafan64125d ago

Hard to believe it's 25 years old already.

Cacabunga125d ago

The feeling this game gave me the first time i had my hands on it is indescribable.. i still get the chill from that day..
botw is like a spin off of the series.. it’s fun but with many flaws and the most important which is Zelda formula isn’t there..

FinalFantasyFanatic124d ago

I can't even remember how many times I played through OoT, I finished that game, and collected everything so many times.

Vits125d ago

I generally agree with the author here. However, if I had to point out a single game as the 'anti-Breath of the Wild,' that would be Majora's Mask. Pretty much everything in that game is interconnected, relies on something that the player must have done previously, is timed, and can be considered a puzzle in itself.

gold_drake125d ago

but still considered the best of the seties.

i would have liked botw to be more like ocarina.

franwex125d ago (Edited 125d ago )

25 years from today whatever Zelda is out people would too be looking fondly at Breath of the Wild.

Ah the more simple times of the 2020s.

babadivad125d ago (Edited 125d ago )

It isn't...
