Gears 5 PC System Requirements Shared Ahead of Technical Tests

The Coalition shared the official PC system requirements of Gears 5 ahead of the upcoming technical tests scheduled later this month.

PS5 will be 2070 level or so at best, there's no way they can get a more powerful GPU for the cost of a console. Many games will run 4k 60 but I'd put money on demanding ones being limited to 30.

That's why i went 1440p for my monitor, high refresh a bonus. 4k is still demanding especially with better gfx and ray tracing on the horizon.

I've a feeling the Nv 3000 series next year will be beastly.

I was thinking the same, but in terms of Navi, that is an RX 5700XT, which beats a GTX 1080/ Vega 64. The problem now, is that many people don't think the PS5 and Xbox Two will be using Navi 10, but rather Navi 20, which wont be out until next year. This means that since the consoles will support ray tracing, that Navi 20 will have some sore of hardware excelleration for ray tracing. Navi 20 is also going to be more powerful than Navi 10.

So what i'm starting to think now, and it worries me, that the consoles could be looking at RTX 2080 power or god forbid, RTX 2080 TI power, which will cost a fractioin of what we are paying for graphics cards. No doubt, that by that point in time Nvidia might have the RTX 3080 out, which will beat consoles, but I think I'm going to wait longer than I really want to, because I think that PC gamers are about to find out just how much we're being rippes off by AMD and Nvidia.

That doesn’t seem to bad, I have a 2060 rtx and gears 4 runs at a decent 4K 30 max settings on that. So I’ll probably be looking at 1440p-1800p on that which should be perfectly fine.

I’m interested to see if it takes advantage of RTX as not many games do.

Game does not look that good not even God of War ps4 comparable and it needs this hardware to max lol.... Gears 4 was a bad game and this will probably be too.

Was that suppose to impress me? Looks dull I've played Gears of War 4 maxed on my pc and It looks dated and plays dated. You should try God of War ps4 and Uncharted 4 and soon The Last of Us Part 2 (much better violence).

I don't play Fortnite and never even tried it.

Not against XBOX, just don't need one since I can play all the games on my pc. Just to give an example, No racing game on ps4 can beat Forza Horizon 4 / Motorsport 7. No not even Gran Turismo (which is dull btw).

They showed a bit of it with the first reveal trailer. But next week is the Versus Beta, August I think they're doing a horde beta, and then September up until release I think they said they'll talk a bit more on campaign.

I think them being quiet on the story is a good sign they have some cool stuff in there.
