As I explained in the article:
"Continuing with the series of best anime games, this list comprises titles based on manga or the anime of the game. Additionally, titles that went on to receive an anime, manga or a light novel adaptation are also qualified to appear on this list. However, games with an anime style that have no relation to a manga source or anime will not be included on this list."
Personally, It's confusing to call these titles "anime games" without having any connection with any source material. It's better to call them anime-styled games to clear any confusion.
Edit: the only exceptions here are Senran Kagura and Catherine since they've gone on to receive a manga adaptation. Hmmm, Clannad too since it's based on the manga. Other than that, these all fall into the anime-styled category :)
Yeah but tons of those titles received anime adaptations.

Or do you mean the opposite where it was an anime that got a game adaptation? There's very few examples of that such as Danmachi, Miss Kobyashi's Dragon Maid, Made in Abyss, Summer Time Rendering and theres around four Quintessential Quintuplets visual novels that sadly never got an English localization.

Yes, that's what I meant. Anime shows that received a game adaptation. However, looking at the scarcity of some of them, I also included video games that eventually received an anime adaptation. E.g Monster Hunter Stories 2, .Hack GU, NieR Automata, Tales of Vesperia..etc. Frankly, I wasn't even aware of a Nekopara or Senran Kagura anime until you mentioned it. I was aware of a manga, though.

Doesn't matter! If they're good, they're worth the mention (and to be played too if one can understand anything...). Thanks for the suggestions there, btw. My hope is to make the ultimate anime games list out there!
There are many good anime-based video games, but these set themselves apart as being the best.
Jump Force on the list? That's a... questionable choice. I honestly much prefer Jump Ultimate Stars on the DS or, if we're going for something more modern, One Justice 2 or Kill la Kill If. Those two aren't anything amazing but they're better than Jump Force both gameplay and presentation wise.
