Minute man, I think you misread it, he said Gears of War:
"During GamesCom 2023, Snyder let slip that if he were to choose a video game IP to direct, Gears of War would be a front-runner. He’s been chatting it up with his creative crew about the potential."

God of War is one if my all time favorite ps games but you meant God of War for what exactly??? I also of course love *Gears of War and Its clear so does Zack Snyder & thats why he's talking about making a *Gears of War movie, hopefully you're not implying he should make a movie you want instead of one he's passionate about making, lol that wouldn't be good for anyone.
Gore would be available, since he didn't get any projects off the ground since 2016. The reason is probably is that his past three movie projects fail to make any noticeable profit. Even worse with "The Lone Ranger" he directed was the biggest box office bomb from 2013. But even his small budget film from 2016 bombed. For a Bioshock movie you can estimate it will be a $150+ mio. production, Nobody hands him that kind of money anymore.

I’m not a fan of Zack Synder’s movie. If he were announced the director for a Gears of War film, I would not be hyped. I find Synder to be similar to J.J. Abrams, you have to shut half your brain off to enjoy their movies.
I agree. I used to be a Snyder fan then I realized he’s only good at montages. He’s truly a crappy storyteller
He's saying this because Netflix acquired the film rights to the franchise awhile back. Factoring in his current relationship with them along with a Dave Bautista casting, seems like a no-brainer.
First Dave Bautista chimes in about his desire to portray Marcus Fenix. Now Terry Crews likes the idea of becoming Cole Train.
If they could do a good job, then great... But most often they end up completely underwhelming. I think they should save their money and do something else.

Probably be the awful plot use of traveling to an alternative world and into our modern world.
Good luck to them then. It's very rare that a film can deviate greatly from the source material and still find success.
