Super Mario Maker 1 stages cannot be transferred to Super Mario maker 2

Nintendo confirmed that stages created in Super Mario Maker Wii U/3DS cannot be played or imported into Super Mario Maker 2. This is due to the inclusion of multiple new features and items in Super Mario Maker 2.
