Gary Green said: Tempting as it is to dedicate our first installment of PlayStation Icons to a franchise-leader like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, or even Sackboy, instead I’m choosing a character that I, like so many others, connected with on a personal level. He’s a moody, world-weary teen, a proud loner with no time for the drama of others, and yet he’s also a hero just waiting for the motivation to unleash his full potential. He’s a warrior. He’s a leader. He’s the king of internal monologues. It’s time to meet Squall Leonhart.
Weak list. What kid wrote it? No pre-ff7 games? Hojo is nowhere close to Kefka in terms of evilness. But I won't dwell in that cause of spoilers. What about Paramecian Emperor fromo ff2? He was pretty evil too.
BTW, there are few in the article if you haven't finished FF7, 9, and 10.
And Jenova's actually an entity not a character.
As a joke I would also add Gilgamesh from FF5. He was really "evil".

Where's Kefka?
From FF Wiki:
While previous villains were distant, cold, ruthless and bent on their goals, Kefka was loud, short-tempered, maniacal and destructive with a deep hatred of nearly everything on the planet and he possessed an infamous sadistic sense of humor, finding joy in the deaths of innocents.
See, this is the meaning of true evil, one who kills for the joy of killing, and not because it's their "Destiny" to kill.
And...that's it? Where is Kefka? The only character I agree with is Sephiroth, and Jenova...what?
Did this guy play anything before 7?
