Blizzard is falling apart as Activision selling back-to-basics Modern Warfare 2019

While self-destruction appears to be unfolding at Blizzard, Activision is trying to distract us with full reveals of the 2019 Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare, and a new game engine for the series using real world images as textures.

I don't think Activision is trying to distract anyone, they just revealed the new COD like they always do every year....

i waited long time for Activision and their lame franchises to start falling apart .....New COD is proving exactly that .... i say Sony now is your chance to grab -buy back your superb mascot Crash Bandicoot that for so many years after ND all the games were abysmal

TacoTaco1582d ago

Idk naruga, people are *already* starting to use 2019 COD MW as an example of single player done right, just based on that initial trailer alone. The single-player blinders are on so strong with some people here that all it takes is a glam shot and they'll immediately forget the last decade.

AntiZeal0t1581d ago

@TacoTaco Infinity Ward had a bunch of YouTubers come to their studio to actually see the first two missions and most of them were pretty blown away by what they saw.

@naruga

Shh, these Call of Dookie bots will lose their minds if you tell them the truth.

They already think that this Call of Poopie will be game changing.

Haters gotta hate, right? Do you have a personal reason for wanting this, or just following the group-think that ActivisionBlizzard must fail because they're too big?

All Activision needs to do is announce Diablo 4 and boom, they're back in it. CoD finally has a new engine and a reboot/refresh approach, so that'll beathe some life into their sales. Remember that even under-performing CoD entries are among the top selling games every year. Rumors of their demise are greatly exaggerated.

This title is stupid and makes no sense. Fix it.

Do gamers believe Blizzard is falling apart? Their last couple of games have been critical and sales success (Hearthstone, Diablo 3, Overwatch)...

wenaldy1582d ago

This is low level of "gaming journalizm".

PapaBop1582d ago

A sign of the times perhaps? I'd say the low effort gaming journalism goes perfectly with the low effort garbage publishers like Activision try and shove on us each year.

Everyone falls from the top of the perch :D. Kinda tired of Blizzard anyway. There Overwatch game is one I like to see just die. It's so unbalanced and not fun anymore plus all Blizzard does is release new events and heroes and not put more effort in fixing the unbalance issues. They have WoW so they are still ok.

harmny1582d ago

Kinda tired of blizzard with a Mario avatar

PapaBop1582d ago (Edited 1582d ago )

Have you seen how WoW is doing lately? Those of us who have followed Blizzard for a while can literally see the sweat dripping from them.

frostypants1582d ago (Edited 1582d ago )

Sad. Blizzard was such an amazing dev back in the Warcraft/StarCraft RTS days and early WoW. Then they sold their souls.

Seraphim1581d ago

WoW released 15 years ago come November. That's a pretty solid run for an MMORPG. They really should start looking forward though and it's a dam shame that through all this time they neglected to bring WoW to consoles. I spent a couple years playing it around '09-11 up through Lich King but sold my account and gaming rig to a co-worker. makes me want to dive back in

Just like Bioware and developers before them as time moves along they lose those important people who helped shape and make them who they are/were. Often they also lose touch of their player base. And let's not forget trickle down. The effects of being overseen by Activision in this case...

Scatpants1582d ago

You say it's falling apart but COD will be #1 again this year just like it is every year for some reason. I would've expected people to be over it like 5 years ago but I guess not.

gamesftw2501581d ago

It won't be over till Activision really messes it up.
