best looter shooter? unless you live under the rock. the Crown is still on Borderlands head and it has been from 2009.

...With some of the most horrendous enemy AI on the market. Oh and easily the worst facial animations I've seen this generation. Worse than Andromeda. A lot worse.

The AI should get fixed soon hopefully. But who is looking at facial animations, when everyone is covered in masks and the main characteris mute? The story was never its strong point (it was decent, but it wasn't winning awards for it). Replaying missions and such on harder difficulties, seamless open world to mission transitions, lots of loot and sets, and pvp were.

That said, they do need to rethink the random rolls for items with gear scores overlapping (a 500 item having less damage than a 491 item for example), work on build diversity (pretty much only way to go in the raid is straight dps...), and fine tune the raid in general (and for consoles - you need laser precision for some stuff, for which controllers are not the same as a mouse and keyboard).

As for "on the market", it's up for grabs with Anthem bombing and not much coming out in the field till Borderlands 3 destroys everything.
