LLC: "Nintendo Switch 2 is a massive upgrade in every way that matters on a day to day basis, and with some firmware updates it could be even better."
Great review! We have almost the same impression of the Switch 2. I don't care if the screen isn't OLED, because when I put it next to my friend's Steam OLED screen, they barely deviated in quality.
2025 cloud gaming trends are looking good, but it’s not all smooth yet. We break down what’s working, what’s not, and what comes next.
As someone who has been gaming nearly as long as gaming has been around (since the early 70's), you'd think I'd be against this. Having grown up with all the major platforms and the whole notion of physical ownership... but I'm not. i embrace this as it is a revolutionary convenience. And one i know for a fact many (especially here) have not even given the fair chance to use. I get it... i was there too. But now i have a new outlook on it. It really is a hell of an option if you just want to play with no commitments. By no means am i saying this should replace traditional gaming, its an option. And one that people should look at optimistically as a way to compliment traditional gaming. There is room for both to thrive.
I tend to use streaming on new games in GamePass. To see if I like the game. If I do, I'll download it for a better experience. It's so convenient & useful.

When my grandma died i was very numb and with bouts of depression. I would just sit in my room and stare at nothing, didnt feel like even turning the tv on let alone playing a game. At some point i was sitting in my car waiting to pick someone up and decided to kill the time with the PSVita i keep in my dash (im often waiting in my car so i keep it in there to keep from being bored while i wait) it was at the time i started playing Severed.
Whoever directed this game must have experienced loss themselves cause they nail the atmosphere and melancholy that surrounds you when this happens. I got hooked and kept playing it every day to find out just how the character is going to resolve this. By the time I beat it, it really drove home the idea that when experiencing loss, you have to do something, anything even if its not productive as sitting around just allows the emotions to consume you. At some point it will bring you to a headspace where you can move on from being controlled by the loss, you just have to move on, take that step and keep going on.
Ruby was better than crystal hands down. That game taught me to respect the weather and use that crazy cama cama camillion Pokemon more.
