In the Geekbench single core test, the Ryzen 3rd Gen chip is 15% faster than the Zen+ processors while it's faster by 25-30% in the multi-threaded test.

If they were absolutely certain about the quality of Marathon, then they had not delayed it just now.
So they've basically just confirmed what everyone, well, a lot of people saw: Marathon is not ready yet, still no soul to be seen.

My next build will have to be ryzen, Intel are too expensive now.
Going to upgrade my 2700x to 3700x. With a simple BIOS update :D Also those with x470 boards there might be a BIOS update to enable PCIe 4.0 on the first slot. I'm happy ^_^
at $499 for that 3900X, it's a good deal. just need to wait for mini-ITX X570 boards so that i can slave an nVidia GPU via Thunderbolt for rendering, and use 5700 for gaming...
Looking foward to going back to amd. Efficency, performance and a much better direction then several years ago. Way to go amd!
