Codemasters has released a new set of screenshots for its new GRID game.
Haven't played a great racer in a while, so I'm definitely excited for this.
I play a great racer everyday, it's called Driveclub.
Lol driveclub has to be one of the worst racing games out there, look great plays shit
Driveclub is awesome. Bummer it wasn't well supported and Sony had to close down Evolution Studios.
I'm still playing Driveclub VR from time to time. Not a graphical champ but you stop noticing it almost instantly. Immersion is incredible. And with the wheel? Bonkers!
Definite high hopes from me. The original GRID (not so much the sequel) was awesome and this has those same vibes. It was a perfect combo of sim and arcade. Kinda like early Forza or Driveclub with much (much much much) better crash/damage mechanics. Can't wait to win a race by a hair with my doors missing again.
From the gameplay footage they just released I'm a bit put off by the 'muscle cars racing around US street tracks' thing, I think I'd prefer a new TOCA game to this. It looks extremely similar to GRID 2, which came out well over 4 years ago. The original GRID had a better sense of speed/action then any of them, I hope they can capture that again.
It also had a sense of atmosphere
Street races like this are awesome. Just be happy were getting another grid jeez everyone needs to stop complaining so much and wishing things were something else. Just take it for what it is and enjoy.
GRID 2 is free right now on Steam (along with Guacamelee, both are good).
Bullshots to sell roster updated 10 year old game engine
The original might be the best racing game ever made.
It was so good. Forza scratches the same itch for me, but my god I loved Grid.
Absolute gem of a game, nothing really plays like it. The damage was so refreshing too, I remember you could rip chunks off the car, I don't think I've seen that in another game with real vehicles
I bought GRID Autosport a while ago but hadn't played it, so I've just started now that they have announced this. It holds up pretty well actually.
