From Nintendo Enthusiast: "In the latest issue of Walmart’s official video game magazine, Game Center, it was revealed that Super Mario Maker 2 will feature the Ice Flower power-up. On page 41 of the Walmart magazine and in a blurb underneath the header “New Super Mario Bros. Wii,” a description reads: “Power-ups like the Ice Flower are also in play.” This might be confirmation that the Ice Flower power-up from New Super Mario Bros. Wii and New Super Mario Bros. U might be appearing in the upcoming Super Mario Maker 2."
Although Super Mario Maker 2 on the Nintendo Switch received its final major update back in April 2020, it still occasionally receives a smaller update. The latest one follows on from an update in 2022 that addressed several issues.
