Yoshi’s Crafted World review – A Crafty Platformer | Reggie Reviews

After a crux of delays and release date limbo, Nintendo finally blessed our favourite handheld/console hybrids with quite possibly the most laid back and cosey platformer to date, Yoshi’s Cra…

From the demo it looked like a polished platformer, but not even close from being a masterpiece... is the full game any better?

NecrumOddBoy2233d ago

It's a flawless platformer for sure. I completed everything from start to final boss and the only thing left to do is the bonus stage area which is 10x harder but not the end of the world and the post game content (there are flowers for boss challenge replays and a new one per level.) LOTS of replay value here to be honest.

The game is polished, fun, filled with content and all around, a joy to play. But, it's ridiculously easy and lacks a lot of boss fights (I have no clue if the train fight from the demo/trailers is in this. There is a fight with a train but it's 100% different).

If I would have to rate it, it's an 8/10 but at the same time, it's a MUST BUY for the Switch. I love it.

I can't stand the Go-go Yoshi level, and I'm sure there's more like it.

No it’s extremely uninspired and way to easy. I put it down halfway through and have no desire to pick it back up. It’s very by the numbers. Biggest disappointment of 2019 yet.

For me, within its own right it's perfect and masters everything it sets out to do. The review is based on that. In my opinion you can't compare Yoshi to New Super Mario Bros. For example as they're just completely different bar the platforming aspect of course. Thanks for commenting 😊

It's boring and simply too easy. Most of the enemies stand around waiting for you to kill them. Shooting into different planes doesn't work as well as you'd expect. The music is also downright awful; it's one of the few games where I just outright muted it and sat in silence instead. If you are new to gaming there is entertainment to be had.

In other news: Point and Click adventure games are terrible First Person Shooters...

PrimeVinister2233d ago

Yoshi is underused these days 🤣

chris2352233d ago

back in the day when i still touched nintendo stuff i already hated this yoshi character.

King_Noctis2233d ago

And why is that? Did Yoshi do anything to offend you?

Knushwood Butt2233d ago

It's the Nintendo free pass.

King_Noctis2233d ago

What did they do to deserve this so called “free pass”?

Fraggle19872233d ago

10 is ridiculous for this game.
