As much as I love the series, I feel the series closed nicely.
Now another spinoff, sure bring it on. I actually think Chloe is more "Lara Croft-ish" than Lara Croft herself in the new series. I was skeptical of her holding a game as the lead in Lost Legacy, but I thought it turned out nicely.
I'd like to see more like that, with cameos of characters... and hey, even Nathan and Elena themselves. But we kind of know how *Spoiler* their lives play out into their retirement, that their lives settled down after UC4. Now, coming out of retirement later in an older age, with their daughter? I guess that's a possibility. It would need a really strong narrative, a strong reason to pull them back in. Heck, maybe even just the kidnapping of their daughter could bring them back in. I think it needs to wait some years though. Let TLOU 2 shine, and maybe get a new IP.
We'll see. One of my favorite series of all time. We named our daughter after Elena even. (which doubles as Ellie nickname, from TLOU) If it gets done, I expect it to have a purposeful, impacting story or a solid spinoff. No rush.
Everyone can beat Uncharted 4. It's a fairly easy game. J/k.
I actually loved the spinoff one with the women. That was loads of fun exploring. I love the little cartoon stills at the end too when the credits roll. That was a nice touch.
Agreed, good closure to the series. However, remember the charts and pics of all the ‘undiscovered’ locations eluded to? Potential adventures with their daughter Cassie?
Yeah, I agree. Uncharted 4 was a beautiful sendoff for Nathan Drake, Sully & Elena. And I very much enjoyed Sam’s role in it. I want Naughty Dog to go and make a new iP.
I'd like to see where Uncharted could go with Chloe and Nadine the two worked well in Lost Legacy. Or they could do a game with Sam and Sully I just want a new Uncharted game.
Yes exactly. Just becaude Nathan story is finish doesnt mean the Uncharted is finished. Well technicaly the numbered games which is Uncharted 1 to 4 is finish. But Lost Legacy is, I think ND test market, is just beginning.
Uncharted 4 ended things on a nice note, it wouldn't be fair to spoil that
Only thing I could think of doing is have another studio create Uncharted games but set it after Uncharted 2 or 3 where Uncharted 4 never happened and allow the new developers to craft a new line of games so they don't step on the ending NaughtyDog gave us.
Basically say, "this is the original and official ending, but here's our games, an alternative tale"
Yeah but the article is talking about Uncharted 5 as in Nate, Elena and Sully
If they WERE to use those characters again I'd rather see an alternative timeline then continuing from Uncharted 4 after the ending ND gave the characters.
if they HAD to do another uncharted, a prequel with nate and sully on their very first adventure would be what i want to see. sort of going back to where it all started. i'd love to see the scene where/how they first meet.
i get they showed that meeting in UC3, but a preqeul would show much more. i think, from a story perspective, it's the most interesting way to do another uncharted IF they insist on doing one. just doing another UC with more adventure seems kind of redundant - and i'd rather see a new IP than that.
i would prefer new playable characters in the potential new uncharted and somewhere near the end of the game they would need help and would seek out an old adventurer living in sully residence, when they ring the bell they are welcomed by none other than nathan drake him self! now that would be epic!
UC4 was the perfect ending. They can't make that great of an ending without sealing the deal. Maybe some kind of prequel with a different character or something, but I think it'd be a mistake to try and expand the current timeline.
Last of Us is far from milking. There's one game, and then there's a sequel coming 6-7 years later. But I've had enough of Uncharted for a good while. I'd rather they'd make something new. Although a really good Jak game with today's gameplay, graphics and story standards would be rad.
Exactly this. I love Uncharted but it needs a break for a while, maybe even an entire console generation. U4 was great. Give it a brrak and bring it back when something truly new and unique can be done.
They can go to the past and do a Sully, Sam or Chole prequel. Or go future and have Nate and Elena's daughter be the protagonist. I'm on board for more Uncharted in the future. One of my favorite franchises of all time.
New main character and story line seeking lost treasures elsewhere would be cool , they should change it up a little . It should be a total reboot . ND should do other things but some other studio could work with it
I would want their daughter to be the main in the series. Maybe be more action adventure/puzzle and keep the shooting to moments where it would make sense. I liked Uncharted 4 but I felt like I was going area to area just clearing enemies. In crushing it was not fun
Just make a new IP but have similar lights hearted and characters just don’t make it about finding lost treasure anymore and have an entirely different cast of characters and setting.
I'd like a sci-fi adventure next from ND. Would very much like to see what they'd do with the genre. That or perhaps pick up and dust off the lost "Agent" IP.
the only way feel it would work making a 5th game would be to have their daughter be the main character. it could be a rescue mission to save her parents.
It already came pretty close with 4. Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed the game but introducing a long lost brother out of nowhere just screams season 9 of a 70's or 80's sitcom where a new, more annoying sibling is added. I actually enjoyed Lost Legacy more than 4 and if the Uncharted series continues, I'd love to see it done with Chloe and Nadine with Nathan making a cameo here and there.
I think Uncharted 5 should be drop in drop out Co-Op with the adventure spanning the globe. Also the series needs bosses to fight, each with unique setups.
Nate and Elena earned their rest and deserve the happy ending they got in 4. 5 should have a new character as the focus or continue with Chloe for a few titles before passing the torch to Cassie. Maybe have Drake drop off the next character somewhere during his salvage job in the opening scene for a smile and a wave goodbye as he sailed into the sunset. I would shed manly tears.
I can see remasters and remakes in the future but not anytime soon. I’d love to see what they could do with a new IP I’m sure it would be a big hit with whatever they have planed.
Uncharted 5 could on with the daughter taking over plus theres 2 because 1 already happen spinoffs that could happen with sam or sully or both i think at some point sony will have ND make another uncharted lost legacy or uncharted 5
I actually like the daughter taking over, it could be set with either her transitioning from high school to college or already in her freshman year of college and one of nathans old contacts reaches out to him but manages to somehow contact her instead, any way that will lead her into taking up the mantle of her pops and moms oh also her major would of course be journalism
Uncharted 5 would br epic
Personally I think Uncharted 4 was a good end to the series. As much as I love Uncharted I'd like a new IP from them next gen.
I'd like to see where Uncharted could go with Chloe and Nadine the two worked well in Lost Legacy. Or they could do a game with Sam and Sully I just want a new Uncharted game.

It would show respect to NaughtyDogs work
