Technically there's still a Torchlight Frontiers, it's just the mobile version. The PC/console version is being redone to remove the mobile monetary sink it has and made into the more traditional Torchlight experience with mostly the same content.
Is that still being developed as they appear to have removed all references to the mobile version?
If you own it, you own it. It still exists, they just gave up on it. But, it's still playable.
Frontiers was supposed to be a true open world MMO. Now it is essentially just TL 2.5. They turned it back into semi open zones, lobby based, and likely local character data which means save editing will be possible just like in TL2.
Was looking forward to it, now probably will not even get it. TL2s lobbies were dead 2 months after release, 3 will be no different.
