Review: Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice - A Dazzling Port That Sacrifices Very Little | Nintendo Life

NL writes: "To have Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice on Switch in this form is a blessing that you shouldn’t miss out on. The game itself is a psychological sensory experience that we thoroughly recommend, but the fact that it’s been translated to Switch in such a complete fashion is the true surprise here. "

wow, I wouldn't expect you to post something that would actually showcase the Switch in a positive light. I know you were probably thinking to yourself that you would somehow burn Nintendo by showing this video, but all you've done is highlight the fact that a device that is like 1/20th the size did a pretty darned good job of keeping the overall look of the game basically the same. Sure some lighting here or crisper textures there are apparent on the PS4, but if you are going to tell me that what you can see of the Switch version there is garbage, then you clearly need to stop drinking the kool-aid.

It's a great port, done right and with care. More 3rd party developers could learn a thing or two here.

This news did not had a video, so I posted the video, everybody nows the switch is weaker, were you expecting a better game on the switch?

The reason I did not write anything was because I knew the switch defense team would came to the rescue.

@Imortus - yes but the video you posted shows off a rather polished port, even if some sacrifices had to be made. Your intentions were to make it seem like the Switch version was hot garbage when it's in fact the opposite.

So thank you for proving my point.

So what's the excuse for games like Kingdom Hearts and Monster Hunter? Surely they don't look better that Hellblade and can't be that much more technically demanding. I'm also certain Mortal Kombat will also look very good.

Hell blade isn’t an open world game dude.

I mean, Breath of the Wild is though. One can argue that the looks are on par with Kingdom hearts.

Same, but I think it will be very hard to capture the magic of the first one. It hit so hard and I don't know if the same feeling can go across to a new game.

I like to keep my expectations low for pretty much everything. if you put too much hope on an upcoming release, you will almost surely always be disappointed. It's not different than overhyping a game publicly, just internally.

That being said, I am looking forward to this title and seeing more. What I've seen so far surely looks extremely impressive, and intriguing, but that's all the more reason I don't wanna put too much energy into it til its closer to launch.
