Red Dead Redemption 2 PC leak fake, 4Chan leaker now also claims Super Mario Odyssey PC

DSOGaming writes: "It appears this leak is fake. Yesterday, the same 4chan user claimed that Super Mario Odyssey would be coming on the PC and that it would be exclusive to the Epic Games Store. Nintendo has not released any of its first-party games on the PC so this “leak” does not make any sense at all. Not only that, but the Super Mario Odyssey story reads exactly like the Red Dead Redemption 2 story so it’s safe to assume that they are both fake."

What??? Who would have ever guessed a 4Chan leak was fake...

RosweeSon2253d ago

I heard half life 3 is releasing exclusively on Nokia’s N-gage 😑😑🤨 28540;

Patricko2253d ago

There was also a leak about Borderlands 3, and it was pretty accurate. So you never know with them :)

It was 4chan where the leak of Fallout 76 originally came out months before announcement

DARK_FOX2253d ago

This leak is for sure fake. But I have seen many many 4chan leaks that turned out to be true.

Why did this even get approved

KyRo2253d ago

Red Dead 2 they could of got away with but the fact the same person then went on to say Mario Oddysey was going to PC instantly removed any credibility behind any of these fake leaks lol.

zsquaresoff2253d ago

Wouldn't it be something if RDR2 finally releases for PC... but its an Epic Store exclusive. LMFAO, that would be hilarious.

MoshA2253d ago

You realise Red Dead and Borderlands are owned by the same company? It will be Epic exclusive :D.

Rumour: Red Dead Redemption 2 PS5 Version Is Real, Out This Year

The possibility of a PS5 version for Red Dead Redemption 2 just became a bit more realistic, as the very reliable leaker NateTheHate has claimed in his latest predictions podcast that a next-gen version of the Rockstar open worlder is in the works.

On the podcast, he said: "Those rumours are true. Red Dead Redemption 2 is getting a next-gen update and the game will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 later this year." They go on to say that they were told the new versions will launch "a few months" after Switch 2's release, which is tomorrow. They then speculate a late summer / early fall launch window.

Please please please. My dualsense needs this game.

Aloymetal2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

Yup, this game needs that sweet 60fps treatment. Can't wait I hope this is real.

andy852d ago

Be rude not to give it another play. Definitely won't be going for the platinum this time. That was hell 😂

lukasmain1d 20h ago

Lol it was even harder at launch. It took me a very long time. Apparently I've heard they made it easier getting the gold medals for missions in some way. But at launch time it was a pain because after you finish the story and go back to play missions to get the medals, you lose all your perks and abilities, your dead eye level and guns everything etc. You just have the stock standard bare minimum with crap guns. If I had have known they were going to do that, I would have made sure I got gold medals when I was playing the story. But I got it in the end. Pretty sure the trophies would auto-pop on a PS5 version

Cacabunga1d 14h ago

Yes you are right.. you equipment from the main game carried on when you go for gold medals which is always something!
Also the fact you don’t need to get gold on every mission is the big thing.

Still a massive plat and one of the few I am very happy to possess

jznrpg2d ago

Nice! I’ll add it to my collection

aaronlif102d ago

I sincerely hope we finally get a next gen update to this game. It is long overdue. I'd love to see ray tracing and enhanced lighting get added. Perhaps more npc's or animals, ect.

nice improvement to the clarity. Really makes everything look less blurry, especially in the distance.

really hope we see more free improvements like this on Switch 1 games.

Jin_Sakai3d ago

First game I played on Switch 2. Much sharper and cleaner image compared to the original.

Cacabunga2d ago

I won’t be able to notice difference unless both versions are side by side

Snookies123d ago

A lot of games that have no official Switch 2 update already run WAY better just from the hardware itself. It's fantastic getting to play all these games in a much better state. So glad I hardly played any of my Switch collection over the years, lol. This will make experiencing them for the first time so much better.

Levii_923d ago

A nice resolution upgrade to one of my fav games but i’m still not buying the Switch “2”

darthv723d ago (Edited 3d ago )

This and Mario/Bowser are ones I will pop in later. I hope other devs offer some patches, like xenon racer on SW1 is 30fps and it really is better at 60.

Goodguy013d ago (Edited 3d ago )

Great it was 60 frames on switch 1 though. Definitely sacrificed resolution however.

Neonridr3d ago

I mean it targeted 60 on the Switch 1, but it wasn't always solid.

GhostScholar3d ago

I’ll never know why fans let Nintendo get away with not competing graphically and never putting their games on sale.

Chard3d ago

Unfortunately the games are fun. They’ve got us by the balls

GhostScholar3d ago

I’m a fan of their exclusives as well but if the hardware had the same capabilities as the x and ps5 and I could have all the third party stuff plus the Nintendo exclusives it would be my main console

Neonridr2d ago

@GhostScholar - if the Switch 2 had the same capabilities as the X and PS5 it would cost over $1000 and the battery would last for 5 minutes.
