It won't gather dust because its a portable. I cant wait till nintendo really launches a real home console with graphics at least on par with the next gen ps5 and x2, i would buy day 1 like i did wii u, wii, n64.

Gemmol1847d ago

Not me I rather they keep the hybrid thing going I play 98 percent handheld mode all the time

Dedicated home console is sooo 1980’s

If it’s graphics you want, why aren’t you playing on PC?
That’s like bragging about the performance of your Lincoln to somebody that drives a Porsche.

This is why new high tech games suck. Nothing new

Great first comment btw.

I was born and raised a console gamer, i have zero interest in pc gaming, pc gaming cant provide games like GOW, mlb the show, days gone, last of us 2, HZD, and all the nintendo franchises i would love to play on a modern console. Dedicated home console is sooo 1980’s HHAHAHAHH. Portable gaming is so overrated, i go out to be social with people not to be gaming outside like some dweeb that lacks social skills, If i do get bored i can always play games on my iphone.

You were raised in a wrong way then

“Portable gaming is so overrated, i go out to be social with people not to be gaming outside like some dweeb that lacks social skills”

The problem with some of you people is that you think portable automatically mean you can only play it outside of the house. What to prevent you from playing on your bed? On your toilet? Or wherever you don’t have access to TV?

Benjaminkno1846d ago

You go out and be social, which is why you’re trolling Nintendo articles and commenting on them as soon as they’re approved.

Good luck with that

I'm still waiting. It's just a port machine. Not sold yet.

Octopath Traveler
Mario Tennis Aces
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna: The Golden Country
Super Mario Odyssey
Splatoon 2
ARMS
Golf Story
Yoshi's Crafted World
Super Smash Bros Ultimate
FAST RMX
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
Tetris 99
Zelda BOTW (can't call this a port when it's a simultaneous release with the Wii U version).

There's also plenty of games that are strictly Switch and PC games.

I would argue that all of these exclusive games, on top of the ports and simultaneous releases, are worth getting a Switch for. Also, you can't discount indie games that release simultaneously with other platforms, because usually the Switch version looks and performs exactly the same, with the added benefit of being able to play them on the go... making the Switch the best home for those games.

The Switch isn't worse than the PS4 and Xbox One were in their first 2 years regarding ports, and I'd argue it did much bettter than those 2 in the exclusive games front. And there's plenty of new games still to come...

If at this point you don't see the value on a Switch yet, I don't think you ever will. And it's fine. But it's just your opinion, and plenty other people are already sold on it judging by its good sales. :)

Gemmol1847d ago

Well said, people on here forget all the ports ps4 and Xbox had in its first 3 years, right now the switch have more exclusives than both of the ps4 and Xbox had in its first 3 years

TheHateTheyGive1847d ago (Edited 1847d ago )

Thats a nice list of exclusives. just need more mainstream 3rd party games and a few more aimed at adults.

30XX Gets a New Combo Ranged/Melee Character Called Delta

"30XX is one of the best roguelikes out there, combining the tight platforming action of the Mega Man X series with the challenge and randomization that roguelike fans crave. Batterystaple Games has done lots of refinement through updates since 30XX first appeared on Steam Early access a few years ago. The latest such update adds a new character for free, one who combines the best attributes of the two existing characters. Also, the Steam version is on sale, making it a great time to travel to the distant year of 30XX!" says Co-Optimus.
