With a couple of patches Saint's Row 2 could very well be the definitive next-gen sandbox title all of us had hoped GTA IV would be. It doesn't take itself seriously, it's tons of fun to play, offers a boatload of variety and diversity, and has enough crude humor to get a chuckle out of even the most stuck-up gamers. The only two things this game has going against it are a relatively weak MP component and plenty of minor glitches in the technical department.
Once you look past that (and you really should or you'll be depriving yourself of an awesome game) you have a highly entertaining experience that can very well satisfy those next-gen free-roaming urges.

You know usually when someone says "you may have missed" it's games that were lesser known, hidden gems, underrated games. These are all super high profile games that sold extremely well.
You know the 2000s is 20 years ago too? Maybe, just maybe this wasn’t an article targeted to 30+ gamers? Still says at the very beginning of the title “THE BEST GAMES you may have missed”. Regardless of how well they sold there’s tons of gamers who haven’t touched these older well known games lol.
It's games you "may have missed", insinuating you were around and gaming in the 2000's and were there to miss them. If it was aimed at everyone else then they missed literally everything, not just the top games.

Yeah, I was just going to say. It's interesting seeing them back behind the series. Max Payne 3 was amazing, but then Rockstar just sat on the IP.
Well, they sit on virtually anything that isn't GTA and Red Dead now.
What is this list? These are all hugely popular games. I was expecting games like Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, Advent Rising, Arx Fatalis, etc.

I've only played 3 on that list. Part of me feels bad about how little I used all the consoles I've owned as a kid. One bright side is, there's over 30 years of games to experience for the first time.

I mean, it IS merged with Game pass. you get game pass you get games with gold.
Ah my mistake, I have ultimate. But now that you mention it I do remember them getting me with the upsell, seemed a bit silly not to spend the couple bucks extra for Xbox live (and I guess also games with gold).
Dunk Lords has a sort of NBA Jam vibe to it so that might be fun. I like rally racers but much prefer the Sega type (arcade style) over the more realistic ones. So that may be a pass. I already have SR2 on disc so I dont need that one. Juju looks cute in a DKC/Rayman sort of way so that might be worth a try. Overall though... its pretty bland month.
Honestly the gold term here was a bad choice .. when it says gold it give impress there is silver and bronze before.

Plenty of games seem guaranteed to get sequels. But sometimes, companies surprise people and give them the additional installments they didn't know they needed.
Either saints row 2 or dead space tonight, which one do you think I should get people? Or could you give me a name of any other games I should get, I have a PS3 by the way.
