PS4 iOS Remote Play Controller Support: How to Use Your DualShock 4

MP1st teaches you how to use your DualShock 4 controller when you're remote playing via an iOS device.

Gets the ds4 working but the big drawback is it only works if you are in the same room as your PS4.

Very true, local only at the moment. I hope Sony decides to release DS4 drivers for other devices. Sony would also have to receive Mfi certification but that would allow the DS4 to be used on iOS for other things as well.

Better than nothing for now. :)

Official Sony Xperia phone's remote play app has dualshock support and even unofficial android app for remote play has dualshock support. Both these app let you use remoteplay outside with dualshock if you have fast internet or 3g. My work place is 15km from my house i remote play almost everytime i'm free at work, i platinumed Persona 5 thru this method, having a controller was reason i was constantly remote playing.
Apple needs to allow dualshock support soon asap, they need to less strick on hardware peripherals on apple device.

Yeah, but has anyone tried a MiFi controller yet? I know the touchpad won't work but a lot of games dont' use it anyway, other than for a button, and you can use the screen for that...

I never buy 3rd party controllers. They’re usually crappy or too expensive for what they offer

DarXyde528d ago

I feel like the age of crappy third party controllers ended. I might be wrong, but I only ever hear of the high end third party controllers now.

Either way, I feel like people should be able to buy and use these devices, even if they're bad quality.

Sure, it's Sony's box, but no company should do this unless it's some shady device-bricking controller.

Wait So Micro$oft gets away with it by disabling 3rd party controllers Whilst Sony gets a fine for only affecting them >?
