TSA writes: "It can often be hard to really feel like a part of the story when we’re playing video games. We’re not all meek Japanese highschool students or big bald space marines, so feeling represented in a lot of these game worlds is often a challenge. With story heavy games like visual novels, the challenge is even greater. It’s often hard to totally relate to the protagonists in these games, no matter how generic and broadly they may be written or designed. Arcade Spirits aims to tackle that challenge of representation in visual novels, but flounders in a few other areas in the process."
