PlayStation 4 vs. Switch: After weighing the pros and cons, which one comes out on top?

Depends on what you value more.

Personally, I believe PS4 offers more and then some being out longer and being the leading development platform.

But it would mean nothing to someone who values Nintendo games over any other platform.

I have a Pro and Switch in the living room and the boys have a PS4 and Switch in their bedroom. I play the Pro quite regularly whether it's exclusives or third party titles. I have the Switch for their exclusives. PS4 is my primary the Switch is my secondary. One of my sons plays the Switch more. The other is PS4 all day. It works well for us!

Cmon.... They're both different propositions and both great in their own way. The Xbox one X is amazing as well, I like nice graphics like the next guy and it delivers big time.

I don’t know why you need to choose one over the other. If you are a gamer, get both, and an Xbox/PC as well.

You don’t need a Xbox king at least not this generation especially if you have a pc with windows 10 on it.

I got a PC at the start of this gen and still bought a ps4 pro and an xbox one because consoles are more appealing when you have freinds over and the one x is a beast and the Pro was supposed to be a beast guess which console I kept?

Having both is ideal but I stick with PS since my time very limited and I already spend alot of money on games. It also helps that Ps has the best 1st, 2nd and 3rd party games.

If you love games, then you need to have both. Ps4 have great exclusives and switch does too. Two different consoles.

I have had PS4 since launch, got a Switch towards the end of 2017 and finally got around to buying an XB1-S around Black Friday.

I'm glad I own all three now, if I had to choose which one I would keep if I had to give up 2 of the 3, then it would have to be the PS4 which I would keep, but I would definitely feel like I'm missing out if I couldn't have a Switch and PS4.

After owning the XB1, having access to Gamepass, being able to play Ori, Gears, Forza Horizon it's a nice addition and provides a lot of it's own value now.

Switch is certainly a must own if you're the kind of gamer that wants to game, but isn't always near a TV, then I would say you need one.

Overall it's great to have a bunch of options and for the prices you can pay with offers it's pretty affordable to get your hands on them.
I say this as a person on a pretty limited income.

Remote play on the Xperia 1's 21:9 screen looks like it will take care of the issue regarding visual obstruction of the play area. 1080p streaming from Pro.
Battery life will also probably be better than that of the Switch too... Sadly

Get both it’s what I did, I still prefer switch over the ps4 only because of portability but both system is solid if you only like to play on the tv get a PS4 it’s plain and simple.......if you like playing anywhere anytime get a switch

My portable battery give my switch 20 hours of battery life so battery not a issue

I only have time for one. I'm busy enough that I only get time to play on weekend mornings during the cooler months. Less than that when it's warm. Because of that, I only have time for one console, and very I rarely play online. The PlayStation makes the most sense for me.
