GamesRadar: X-COM Collection Review

Being able to nab this alongside X-Com: UFO Defense, Interceptor, Enforcer and Apocalypse for what roughly equals a movie ticket is an outright steal. That said Interceptor, (ropey Wing Commander wannabe) and Enforcer (ropey third-person action) haven't exactly weathered time with their dignity intact.

9/10 ? how about most of them running like cr@p on xp or vista ? i bought x-com apocalypse thinking that it would run better than the original and guess what ? runs exactly like the old build. they just emulated via dos-box or something and put it on steam.

Of the two new X-COMs coming out, THIS will be the one I am looking forward to.

X-COM-themed FPS for the lose.

bedroomcoder5079d ago

Too true. You'd think they'd have learned from the Command and Conquer FPS...

Folezicle5079d ago

I think its too early to judge the FPS Xcom as we haven't seen much of it.

Regardless I'm more looking forward to this one

I'll buy that for a dollar! Or nine.

Neco5125105d ago

Haha, seriously, that's too good a deal! If it's too good a deal to be true.... it must be.... true!

DaRockSays5105d ago

nice spin on that old saying

BakedGoods5105d ago

Not only do I love being a PS3 gamer, but I love actually having an above average PC for my gaming purposes. We PC users are really lucky to be gaming on PC, the prices are much lower then the console prices, and not only that, but we can play our games with better textures and at full 1080p :)

Kurylo3d5105d ago

actually we can play are games are higher resolution that 1080p... im just saying... lol.

Over the past few days I bought:

Sniper Elite $4.99

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising $4.50

Far Cry (Original)$6.69

The Chronicle of RiddicK: Assault on Dark Athena $6.79

Grand Theft Auto 4 $4.99

CrAppleton5105d ago

Holy jebus! That's a great deal!

DaRockSays5105d ago

Yup, steam is full of em. Nothing beats steam! PS3 FTW (soon anyway)

Charmers5105d ago (Edited 5105d ago )

What does the PS3 even have to do with this story ? This story is about the great deals available on steam on the PC. I can only guess you are under the impression steam is coming to the PS3 ... it IS NOT you are just getting some features of steamworks such as auto updating and cloud saving.

Oh Topic : This has to be the fifth time GTA 4 has been sold for about 5 bucks and none of the other deals seem that great so it is another day where my credit card stays firmly in my wallet.

SOAD5105d ago

He thinks that PS3 owners will be able to buy games off STEAM. He thinks that PS3 owners will get STEAM. We won't. We're just getting updates for Portal 2 straight from STEAM works.

Kurylo3d5105d ago

if ps3 did allow steam and digital downloads for games... it would be huge... but steam beats xbox live any day of the week for chatting and making friends nad voice communication.

DaRockSays5105d ago

Great game that would totally be worth running through again

CrAppleton5105d ago

Very good game! I would run through GTA IV again. Been some interesting expansion packs for it too

Neco5125105d ago

Team Fortress 2? SF IV? Damn, there are some great games on sale right now
