Review: Crisis VRigade - PS4/PSVR | Pure PlayStation

Pure PlayStation: Crisis VRigade is Time Crisis in VR. That might sound like an oversimplification, but it’s the honest truth. The developers, Sumalab, spotted a hole in the market and then filled it with a cheap and (kind of) cheerful knock-off. But is it worth your time, effort, and money? That’s up for debate.

looks fun, might have to check this out. Love the 90s era shooting games this reminds me of.

Same. Heard mixed things during its launch, but after a few updates, it slowly started to pick itself up.

You guys know if it's just the one scenario or is there more kind a wanna get this either way 9 bucks isnt much

Neonridr1528d ago

there is more than just one level I believe.

Dom_Estos1528d ago (Edited 1528d ago )

There are 3 main scenarios. This might not seem like a lot, but trust me, this game is as hard as they come. proper old school stuff, great fun, and will give your legs a proper work out from all the ducking and popping out of cover. The devs are short changing themselves with the price they sell it for. Buy it.

Thanks all I needed to here gonna puck this up later today

Abnor_Mal1529d ago

That's good, as my friend is looking to finally buy a PSVR , now we can both play together.

Can not wait for Crisis VRigade2 which looks more realistic, don't know if that's good or if something will be lost.

Pure Opinion: I Was So Wrong About Crisis VRigade on PSVR, It's Actually Brilliant

Pure PlayStation: With games evolving so much over their lifespan, it is, however, worth having a second look every now and again. With updates being fairly easy for developers to deploy, it's a given that games change over time. Just look at Hello Games' No Man's Sky as a prime example. Now Crisis VRigade isn't on that scope, but the changes have been big enough that it warrants a second look.

It's tough, even frustrating getting tagged from an angle you think you wouldn't get hit with. But, it's still fun. How a game can be so cheap and get free dlc is anyone's guess but I'll take it. I got this when it was like $6.

Each new level ups the stakes with bullets. The last level is insanity. If you can get past the first areas, you'll be laughing for reasons I won't spoil. I almost finished it last night but killed the president twice. I'll get there. And I think that's the point of the game: to keep trying. Which creates replayability like arcade machines do.

Can't wait to see what they do in the sequel. I would even pay them more for their efforts in the first. Until then, if you like bullet hell, like the option of playing with Moves or the Aim, get it now.

Thanks. Didn't realize aim was supported as well

ApocalypseShadow1661d ago (Edited 1661d ago )

Yeah. Aim is supported and works great. Almost makes it easier. I get further with it than the Moves. But I finished the first area with Moves though.

If you haven't seen the early trailer for it, here's the sequel from video in July

And now in October

For about 4-5 guys, they are getting better at what they do.
