SXO: I wanted Crisis VRigade to be the VR Time Crisis I have always wanted, unfortunately, it wasn’t. It’s not terrible, it’s just very repetitive and bland. Dying often, sometimes from one shot gets old, fast. Especially when you have to trudge through the same rooms with identical enemy layout every time, it’s too predictable and static.
Crisis VRigade, the game I was so, so, so wrong about, has received a new update today that brings an excellent new feature to the game: co-op!
looks fun, might have to check this out. Love the 90s era shooting games this reminds me of.
That's good, as my friend is looking to finally buy a PSVR , now we can both play together.
Can not wait for Crisis VRigade2 which looks more realistic, don't know if that's good or if something will be lost.
Pure PlayStation: With games evolving so much over their lifespan, it is, however, worth having a second look every now and again. With updates being fairly easy for developers to deploy, it's a given that games change over time. Just look at Hello Games' No Man's Sky as a prime example. Now Crisis VRigade isn't on that scope, but the changes have been big enough that it warrants a second look.
It's tough, even frustrating getting tagged from an angle you think you wouldn't get hit with. But, it's still fun. How a game can be so cheap and get free dlc is anyone's guess but I'll take it. I got this when it was like $6.
Each new level ups the stakes with bullets. The last level is insanity. If you can get past the first areas, you'll be laughing for reasons I won't spoil. I almost finished it last night but killed the president twice. I'll get there. And I think that's the point of the game: to keep trying. Which creates replayability like arcade machines do.
Can't wait to see what they do in the sequel. I would even pay them more for their efforts in the first. Until then, if you like bullet hell, like the option of playing with Moves or the Aim, get it now.
Does Developer Sumalab give us what it’s like to go all Point Break in a situation? Let’s find out with Crisis VRigade for the PlayStation VR.
Scripted/predictable.....on a timer.. repetitive...sounds just like time crisis! More like a police trainer/time crisis. It's fun and repayable and at 6 bucks, there is not a lot of room to complain and besides who know what an update or two may do.
