There is a massive difference in the level of ambient 3D sound when I have my headphones on and when the sound output through the TV. Literally with headphones on it is a very different and terrifying experience.
It's a shame because the original Resident Evil 2 sounds from the PS1 are even better and make the game feel more tense. I don't know why they didn't just update and remaster the original songs.

If you're using headphones, that THUMP THUMP THUMP of Mister X walking down the halls looking for you is MADDENING. In this game, he's scarier than Nemesis and even friggin' Pyramid Head. If they remake Nemesis to the leveo of this game, it'll be pants-pissingly terrifying, I really hope the rumors that they're working on that one are true.
